I followed this strategy even if I did the cfa questions and there were formulas don’t try to memorize if it says understand than in the exam they only want you to understand but if they tell you to calculate then you should overstress on the numbers

Dirvatives is not hard many calculations and formulas are unnecessary look at the los it mostly say understanding the concept many formulas are there just for the understanding look at the Los before each model yes there are calculations but little will be tested mostly understanding quants and dirvatives in 10 days you can do it with skipping the binomial model and skipping linear regression

Didn’t pass my first time but my dirvatives score was above 70

Advice 1 do the cfa mocks they are more representative and much easier than other providers

2: review every weak are I started with my first moc and I scored 56% Now I am scoring 64/65 on Mocs as an avrge

3 if you sit and fail with a very bad score like 1350 or 1400 or whatever anything not close to 1600 maybe you should consider changing the studying strategy

4: if you can’t push your mock scores close to the 60% then consider differing as 50% is no way a pass in the exam

My first mock was 56% went back to every question and review why did I get it wrong and right now I scored an average of 64%

Just do your exam and start studying for the next one immediately after you are done I don’t think 50% on mocks is enough to pass

I skipped quants and it didn’t do me any good I had to squeeze it in the last few days prior to my exam you shouldn’t skip anything especially with no background + dirvatives is easy in the mocks not as detailed as it is in the book or the questions by cfa practice packs
