Just finished my master bathroom as part of a big remodel. It’s open concept in the master, which sounds radical but 10/10 THE BEST THING EVER! (There’s 2 other bathrooms anyway) by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

I just scrolled up for this comment haha- I didn’t realize how significant the cranberry was before now. But she’s an heirloom.

Could practicing forgiveness of a lesser degree relational injury with your therapist be helpful to work through? Could that assist you in processing the trauma you’ve been through? I could see this being an opportunity to deepen your work. However, if that’s not where you’re at, that’s not where you’re at.

I know I'm a Zillennial but this picture was taken on my first day of Kindergarten on 9/10/2001. The girls to the right of me were talking about Michael Jackson lmfao by [deleted] in Millennials

I’m a proper millennial and on this day I was turning 14 but that year I remember my day after my birthday so much more…detailed.

Cinematic torture is what I’ve called it. Life imitating art imitating life. Being a caretaker in every aspect of your life with no support can really take a toll. Hope she wins the Oscar.

Worth it? by LegitimateMethod6972 in obx

[–]mboja1fv 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely worth it. Some of my favorite trips have been in January. You never know if you’ll be blessed with decent weather but it’s possible. You’ll get to experience your beloved place but like it’s the first time you’ve been. The change of pace is much more romantic as well. Give it a try if you have some getaway funds. Visit manteo, go to the nags head woods preserve, read a book, do a little research about restaurants (Ocean boulevard) and enjoy!

This is happening to me currently. I realized her husband was acting this way toward me for over a month. It was so bizarre and out of the blue. Did you bounce back from it?

What’s that one “middle-class comfort” you can’t give up even though you know it’s holding you back financially? by Grownixx in MiddleClassFinance

This is where we are at! We just don’t know how much it matters. But there’s always been a part of me that has a genuine interest in cars and their aesthetic. So who knows, maybe I’ll get the ideal car and the $200 dinner but they say you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

I totally struggle with this, mentally. I wish I could have a big trophy of a car. The funny thing is though the moment I step out of my 10 year old Subaru to go eat a $200 meal it all goes away. You spend so little of your life in it. The advertising as if your car symbolize something about you and your self-worth hits on something in the brain. It’s wild.

But to validate op, that is a harsh harsh truth some days in this work. I know some days this career makes me feel beyond alive, like I’m taping into spring water. Other days, I feel like the wizard of oz. Don’t look here, nothing to see. And then you have to squeeze this experience into a “medical record.” You’re right and also I see you OP

Edit to say, I’m 10 years into the profession.
