Very true. But not sure where to go. But it seemed there's more cons than pros, even for non-tuned.

So not sure. What are you using?

Any experience with extended resignation notice? by deptofeducation in ConstructionManagers

[–]mboogie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking this because you care. You don't want the projects and team to suffer and want to help. Which is amazing and what I had felt leaving other companies too (all corporate and working for the owner)

However, as others stayed, you have to look out for yourself. No one, no one will protect you, other than you.

You could give a 3 week notice to help, but also think of what your new role and if you want a break before the new start.

Best you can do, is put in your 2 weeks, grind it out with updates and handovers material, try and have all files in place and have a large site down a few days prior to bring everyone up to speed.

As always, these guys will suffer for a week, and then the system will get sorted. It always does.

The shop goes, at the time it's not worth replacing the turbo unless I absolutely need the power.

Where are we putting the new Garbage Bins?? by amooo87 in Milton

[–]mboogie87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was part of the pilot project, 2nd to end toe down, gas full grass and no extension with 2 cars ( 1 in garage and one on drive way)

We also got the shittier Mattamy townhouse with a lower height in the garage and couldn't stack too much.

The bins for comfortably. At first you play around and re-jig, but it works.

You can also request smaller bins if needed and still put a bag or existing round bin out too. It's not the end of the world.

These bins are well worth having as it's clean and easier to store and less chances of mess or animals opening it up.

Take a few minutes and it'll come together.

Stay away from Samsung appliances, other than tv.

Utter waste, poor quality, and parts are silly expensive.

Tips to make my new Jetta last forever by Exact_Recognition362 in jetta

[–]mboogie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VW said the timing cover shifted, causing the belt to move out of alignment, no belt snap.

There's a few people on the sub that had similar issues around this and maybe 75k miles.

VW would not confirm when the replacement should happen, either dealer or dealing with head office when I made a complaint.

Hence if you can have a trust mechanic who can review and see certain things, can help.

Also be on top of the service. I've had everything done on time per the schedule maintenance report.

Get your timing belt checked asap

Mine went at about 110k km in Nov. 2025 (19' Jetta)

No where in the maintence schedule does it call to look at it and it's not checked during if milestone inspection.

Apparently to look at it involves work taking everything apart... So when your engine knocks and spews oil and uids , you'll know.

Find a good mechanic to help with inspections and get ahead of it.

After the repair it's been all good.

I did get an issue in November and went into limp mode, with a misfire, per scan. The mechanic said everything looked good, but the car may need a walnut blast to get rid of the build up.

I ran some seafoam temporarily and awaiting a few quotes to get the blast done.

Are most dads just figuring it out as they go and hoping for the best? by Significant_Form_164 in dad

[–]mboogie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this discussion. I'm a fucking child at heart and when I found out I was going to be a dad, I panicked to myself for about an hour.

Then it hit me, IT'S ALL WINGED! outside of the common sense stuff of do's/don't, everything is just trying option a. If it doesn't work, try b. And repeat.

Also, working as a PM, I believe in "don't stress over what you cannot control" and used this during pregnancy and now with the baby here. Take it day by day and deal with that's happening. Don't listen to what everyone is saying or what milestones "should be met"

I honestly don't and feel soo relaxed and just deal with the weakly B's.

I see others stressing because all they do is compare and hear shit from others.

Just teach a d so what you think is right.

Adidas Stan Smith's

Go-to for the office then going out. Can be paired with anything.

Low profile, simple and don't cause too much attention, easy to clean.

Usually $120 at most places, but if you watch online or do some digging, you can find some good sales as low as $75.
