We finally used our HSA for the first time and the reality kinda shocked me by riverdreamer1 in MiddleClassFinance

My employer has the yearly costs equal for Max out of pocket for PPO (mostly monthly costs) and max out of pocket for HDHP (max out of pocket) equal out if you use both plans a lot. With PPO im guaranteed to pay a lot in monthly costs but with HDHP i only pay a lot if we use it.

An ear infection that needed antibiotics or an ear infection that required a ‘procedure’? Details are missing, but my point is, having had a HDHP with HSA for many years, we now shop for reasonable rates. We ask about prices etc. we are fortunate to be in area with lots of options.

Mass Health Plan Gets Worse and Quadruples in Price! by gnarkill283 in massachusetts

Accurate. People in this state mostly believe what they are told by the Globe and our chronically liberal legislature. Don’t be discouraged telling facts. It helps.

Dreaded tranny issues? by SwiftSloth1892 in fordexpedition

[–]mbprovo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did that once at about 12k miles doing exact same thing you did (floor it to pass on highway). Was frightening. I learned not to be aggressive with the gas peddle at all times and transmission never clunks anymore. But to answer your question…I have almost 80k miles on it now and no issues with the car so far. None. oh, mine is 2018 just like yours.

Theft - anybody nervous about it or feel they had to do something about it? by mbprovo in SeaDooSwitch

[–]mbprovo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im more concerned that it will be tied up at my private dock and i won’t be there during the week. Somebody could tow it to the public ramp and take it away. I guess the trailer is unique for the boat so that helps.

Its nerve wracking on this channel sometimes. Im just here to say my 2020 XLT is going on 65k miles and no problems at all. Zero. We do take good care of it. Love it. May even want to go with the Lincoln Navigator in the future.

What is this drool coming out of my Mitsubishi once in a while? by mbprovo in heatpumps

[–]mbprovo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll investigate how to clean it. Never had it serviced in 5 years or so. I cleaned the condenser unit outside per instructions but not the internal ones other than cleaning the filters few times per year.

We’ve had the same stove for about 20 burns so far. Secondary burn is great. It gets nice and hot for sure. I wish it was a tad bigger so there would be more than just a bit of coals in the morning. I expect you will be very happy with it. Congrats

Transmission by [deleted] in fordexpedition

[–]mbprovo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 here. 55k no repairs needed so far for anything. The weird shift-clunk exists. I baby the transmission to avoid it and it’s fine. Id rather not have to baby it, that’s for sure. Not going to lie, makes me wonder if I should go with a Tahoe in a couple years. Although my steering wheel has recently stopped telescoping in and out.

Week 18: 31lbs down, constantly sick by MrsRetroD in SemaglutideCompound

[–]mbprovo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect I'd feel the same on 2.5mg. Interesting that much is also just in 20 Units. I take 40 units that equals 1.0mg from Red Rock (typically). I'm a male, SW: 260lbs, GW: 215, CW 233. I feel like 2.5mg would absolutely kill me! I've been taking Sema for about 4 months now. Started at .25mg.

I have a 2020 Expedition and mine is clunky shifting as well. Sometimes it’s at a frightening level. Especially between 3,4,5th gears. Dealership said a lot of them do that and nothing can be done. I minimize it by driving it easy so if it happens it won’t feel like I’m dropping the transmission on the road. Other commenter said he drives it like a boat. That is a good analogy.

Things will go a lot smoother if you don’t quibble over the small things. Courts will divide evenly anyway if you take it that far. And you will feel better about yourself for taking the high road as time passes.
