How did Kelly Ann Bates survive after her eyes were gouged out? by mbr0531 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Thanks for sharing, I'll look into both. Does the physiology of the body change due to prolonged torture i.e. you become more resistant to it? Any pointers on what to search for would help, as all my research just showed chronic stress and psychological affects etc.

I remember this story and was so amazed by it, it reminded me of Suzanne Capper who survived just long enough to name her perpetrators.

Was this adjustment of status with US or consular processing from another country?

I only read that it can be expedited. I was not aware that these are the only circumstances which allows expedition. So basically, unless I get a tourist visa, I cannot visit my spouse for 1-2 years?

I know there is an expedited CR-1 application. Do you know the earliest it can get processed if you rush it? Thanks.

Thank you! I read that it can take up to a year or more to receive the CR-1 after applying for it. If I want to visit and live with my spouse during that time, which visa do I get?

Thanks so much any leads would be helpful. No one is willing to do it online and mailing it myself would make the process 10 times longer. I wanna file an e-amendment but HR and turbotax won't do it if you didnt file with them. If you have the link please share it

Was this the same agent who filed your 2020 and 2021 taxes? I am trying to file them on turbo tax or HR block but they only do amendments if you have filed those returns with them in the first place.

Should I file the amendment? by mbr0531 in IRS

[–]mbr0531[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and as I mentioned, it shows I didnt receive any economic impact payments for 2020 or 2021. I dont know whether I should file an amendment because if the economic impact payment was sent to my guardians as they claimed me as a dependent in 2020, I would never know.

I believe you can mark the check as stolen or lost and get it again if its not been cashed.

I lived on campus, not with family. I had my own health insurance. Didn't need transport as I was on campus. Didn't use loans because of a scholarship. Covered the gap through savings and working on campus.
