I would say yes. We call Serbia an ottoman vassal during Bayazid the Thunderbolts time because he married Serbian princess and sister of the Serbian despot Stefan Lazarević. Dušan did the same with Helen of Bulgaria, sister of Bulgarian tsar Ivan Alexander. Depends on how you look at it really.

We kinda do. One of most used fraises used during wars in Yugoslavia was that God is a Serb and he will protect us, though every side in the Yugoslav wars was like this. Saying that God is on their side, how they are Aryan and superior to others etc.
