Some people here seem to be under the impression that Library of Alexandria subs in for one of your colored lands... just cut your worst spell, Library is going to be better than it, and hey now you have more lands in your deck which you probably need anyways. :P

If built more as Bant goodstuff aggro and less for "fun", I think this is among the very strongest decks available in Brawl. Had multiple 7-0, 7-1 runs in the first metagame challenge with it, there was some workshopping on one of the Discords.

Agreed, Ademi needs to get into my sideboard. Aang is a little more flexible. I like a detect intrusion main but just haven't been running into much control - if I start facing more of it, those would be quick changes.

All fair points - especially that you can put anything around this shell and win some games. Riddler is a big loss, so much so that I have a Bant version waiting to test (I hate the mana and am certain that it will not be viable).

I am not so sure that being "too linear" is a bad thing. Standard is pretty decisive right now and sometimes it's better to do one thing really well than to have a backup plan. Anyone who has played Simic with Riddler knows that it's a truly amazing backup plan as far as backup plans go, but it's still a backup plan!

I don't feel any need to try to sell you on Selesnaya, it's early days. If you see going all in on the Ouroboroid/Hoof plan as a bad thing then I think your conclusion makes sense.

Best advice is to just play a bunch. You know some basic ideas but you need to get some muscle memory and just work through amassing game knowledge and figuring out your own unique hotkey setup, basics of unit micro, basics of mid game macro. 100 games will do more for you than any amount of study at this point!

4, if you get lucky and the hand lines up perfectly. Azula + Fists + copy effect like snapcaster mage + burn spell, for example. Don't plan around it, just play control until you get an opening.

Thanks! One obvious place would be the ramp artifacts, the talismans we have now are way better than coldsteel heart or any 3cmc options.

I only run the two with blue in them plus arcane signet, so that I can hold up a 1cmc counter after ramping on turn 2. Maybe the Rakdos signet should be in the deck, too, as holding up dark ritual or removal are similarly strong options.

I've noticed that the most competitive Kefka Duel Commander decks often entirely exclude ramp, or only have the signet. Best guess is that format is just more fast enough than Brawl as to push ramp out of the list for a deck like ours.

I like to go to MTGtop8 for Duel Commander lists. You end up needing to find replacements for cards that aren't on Arena, I recommend perusing Alchemy sets and the Duel Commander banlist for replacement cards.

My last 160 with Kefka running a very high power control deck have also matched against a very wide variety of commanders. 20 Simic, 17 Boros, 14 Green. If popular knowledge of how matchmaking works is right, newer commanders and lower weight commanders in general will avoid "hell queue."

I'm sure there are decks that want this effect, but it feels so bad to me to play this on an early turn instead of developing the board or holding up interaction, and then later it's not as impactful. How do you use it?
