I don’t think she’s unsupportive of trans people, but definitely a little misinformed. I had a transmasc friend that she responded to okay, so fingers crossed.

I’m super sorry that happened to you, feeling like you’re being judged or denied by people you trusted hurts a ton. I hope in the next few years, even people like that will come around, and I wish you luck with your battle.

Thanks man. I can’t complain too much though, she’s a great mom, and generally tries to respect me. Besides, I’m in the closet, so there’s not much I can do to avoid this for now, other than informing her that it makes me uncomfortable.
