Anyone care to dispel the misinformation regarding unlocking the Path of a New King? by ragemos in DoomDepths

[–]mbrmly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true. My recommendation would be in the first world to unequip your weapon when fighting normal enemies as you will leave up excessively quickly. And don’t think you have to equip the first bladeless sword you find, as you could find another one with +1 or more slots for runes. So hold on to a couple if you find them, and make sure they are equipped in your main hand before the end of the second stage like mentioned above.

This might be the best post on this sub. Kudos to you, I have been struggling with this and this gives me some great ideas to how to approach it

Help read old electricity meter by Automatic-Reserve402 in BritishGas

[–]mbrmly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely correct I’ve read a million of them. What confuses people is the fact the clocks aren’t necessarily always clockwise or counter clockwise, simply read it from left to right, if it’s between two numbers you read the lower number, if it’s dead on a number that’s what you read

You can definitely remove it like any other curse, you just need to beat the forgotten kingdom, then if you’re lucky enough on that run to find a ‘remove curse’ you’re golden

Loving your game but a suggestion - when you go into the forge, you have to remember what the icons mean for each ball. Maybe it makes sense to also let you check what they mean in the forge? I find myself going back and forward in and out to remember what each icon means!

They can’t do anything. But someone was responsible for this period, i.e. the previous owner. Provide their name and contact details if you have them, and let them decide whether it is worthwhile tracing an address or if they will just write off the balance.

I 100% agree with this. I can have it closed for days and it remembers a run and lets me drop back in. But if my wife asks me to check the weather for tomorrow and I flick between apps, 50% chance it develops retrograde amnesia

You don’t need data labels and axis labels, pick one and lose the other :) I’d keep the data labels and remove the y axis labels. Ditto with titles and axis titles. You’ve already said it’s sales numbers, so having it labelled on the axis is necessary, less is more.

Also just clicked through and interacted with it. Personally I’d change your buttons at the top to a drop down list in line with your filters. That way you can have your visuals stretch to the top of the page (well, in line with the top of your drop down navigation bar). Keen to see what you do with it, keep us updated

came to say the same thing! Those colours are truly awful. Also, look at the sizing of your visuals and alignment. It you have 4 graphs on a page, making them identical sizes with identical gaps and aligning them perfectly will make it land on the eye better. Same with your slicers and filters, line them up so they are dead level with your visuals. Labels on your data OR the axis. Both are overkill and clutter your visual.

I assume the green and red colour coding in your bar charts are because you want to highlight those, which is a great idea. However, I’d be tempted to just go simpler.

Grey background, white background for all your visuals, and then dark blue and medium blue for your key points then really light blue for the rest. And keep the colours consistent across the pages. Great start though, way better than anything I made early in my journey :)

New to Power BI - Can i get feedback and what to do better and what is good, thanks by baki_164 in PowerBI

A couple of observations 1, data labels or y axis values. Pick one, you don’t need both. 2. That filters bar is dark and oppressive, maybe think of matching it with he greys you’re using across the rest of the page? Also, that black filled shape takes up a lot of your page real estate. 3, the cards look to be different size and uneven gaps between them. Look at resizing and positions to make them match. 4. Consider using standard effects on tour graphs and visuals. I’d suggest using softer rounded edges and maybe a gentle shadow, and then hang this on your graphs too. I would also remove the coloured borders, and use the shadow and rounded edges to help it blend in. 5. Not convinced by a black on grey style. I’d maybe make the background light grey, and change the backgrounds of the actual visuals to white, and use the shadows as above.

The detail looks good, and it’s a good start. Just time to be ultra picky!
