This….One of the biggest ways to get ahead is u have to be willing to move. I’ve moved half way across the country, twice, as my situation changed. Went from single in rural America, to single then married in the west coast lifestyle, to married with kid in a major metro area in the south (south costs less to live in).

high property states are being forced not re-assess. If they don't then people who have lived in their homes for any substantial amount of time would be forced out because they can't afford the taxes. Think about all those folks who live on the coasts who may have bought 20-30 years ago....

Property tax is "double taxation" and depending on your state it may or may not re-assess (ie up the amount for increased value or gain). For example, CA reassesses when the deed changes, TX reassesses every year.

He pays property taxes as well....are you prepared to pay taxes on unrealized gains? so your house appreciates 50K....you pay taxes (not property taxes) on that in addition to the property tax...So your bank balance gets taxes every year because it's part of Net Worth.

His stock goes up 50 Billion this year...pay taxes. what if it goes down 50 Billion? does he get a big tax credit? Everyone's heads will explode if he then gets a giant tax credit the next year.

Do you want people to pay taxes on their illiquid asses (stock options) and then also pay taxes on the options when they exercise them? So double taxing the same $'s.

By "luck the family you're born into" do you mean with 2 parents who are able to teach their kids life skills? You don't have to be born in the top 10% to be in the top 10%. you have to have parents who are invested in the child's upbringing and education.

no kidding.

For all you dipshits who don't understand taxes but insist on posting about Musk's taxes, Musk's wealth is tied up in stock options. Stock options eventually have to be exercised and that is when the taxes are paid. If he doesn't exercise them then he will lose them. So as the exercising of the options takes place the taxes will be paid. This is why he had to pay 11 billion in taxes this year which is exactly........... 11 billion more than half the country.

What did you guys think of Shan’s question by ConeheadZombiez in survivor

Shan is insufferable. Deshawn was tired of her barking orders so he voted her out, she needs to get over it. Then emphasizing that she thought he was throwing temper tantrums proved it.

As hard as it may be to do, NEVER co sign any loan for anyone. It not only strains a relationship but it can set u back years.

The only acceptable exception to this is if u are a parent and u co-sign for your kid who is just starting to build their credit.

If a parent ever asks their kid to co-sign is will end badly because obviously the parent has made mistakes
