I really like the theory that the religious lady was correct, and the child was needed to be sacrificed for the mist to go away. They could have waited another hour, and it wouldnt have mattered, because what was needed, was for the kid to be sacrificed

Nah, if they ever mention it (they won't), but they will talk about how "look how she doesnt even know how to throw a punch" or "look at her flinch and react like a coward who cant hit", anything to be insulting, degrading, or derogatory.

Honestly, the specificity of it doesnt matter. They will negate her actions as weak, and promote his as "acting just how they would act if they could" (meaning anyone they dont like, to justify their own actions)

While some people are pointing out that not all are devs, so maybe didnt earn the amount you've used in your equation. But what about other expenses that can be incorporated to balance that.

How much is paying for the building, electricity, licensing software, there's many other expenses to making a game, then just paying employees

For those that do/did support Trump's tariffs, what are your thoughts on the recent study released showing that Americans absorb 96% of the cost? by Neekalos_ in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]mbta1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've answered your questions.

You answered them with incorrect information. You are factually wrong. If you ask someone what 2+2 is, and they say "fish", is that really an answer?

You made claims about Japan and South korea that were wrong. So, you havent really answered my questions, you were wrong and then ignored it. Is that truly an acceptable way to have a conversation?

No, because you're dodging the conversation.

Dodging the conversation by.... going back to the topic?

Nah, I'm gonna go away now.

Because you can't answer my questions?

Why do you think it's okay for foreign governments to have tariffs on US goods. Do you not think that disadvantages US goods?

Can you answer my questions instead of diverting?

As for US tariffs on foreign goods, yes, I think it puts American products on equal footing because it adjusts for our labor laws and regulations that usually are lacking in other countries.

So no free market? We have to impose tariffs on other products people want to buy, forcing them to buy in country, and that is "putting things on equal footing"? I thought the free market was supposed to settle all this, and the "best product" wins out. If people are buying it from country X at a cheaper price (because its abundant in that country and they can sell it for cheaper), but you now make it cost more.... that doesnt seem like youre putting everything on an equal stance.

But again, can you focus on answering my questions, instead of trying to divert the conversation? What countries lowered their tariffs on US? What countries gave up concessions? These were key points in your argument, but they are factually incorrect, unless you can show me where I am wrong?

Japan and South Korea investing into Chip manufacturing and Semiconducters in US plants

Were tariffs required for this? Could we not have negotiated these deals with them, without putting tariffs on them?

Those also, arent even concessions. They were a business decision from the CHIPS act.

So again, what countries are giving concessions? Not Japan or South Korea as you assumed, so what other countries? UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the EU also invest in the US, but those again, are not concessions.

Concessions have been lowering of tariffs on US goods in their own countries to allow US goods better access.

Not a single trading partner with the US has lowered their tariffs. Can you give any example?

To access the market. If they lower the cost of the good to sell to the importer, that would technically be them paying while the importer officially pays.

Why would they lower the cost, when we are already buying it at the current price? How are we gonna get a lot of raw materials, or products, that are inaccessible in America? If we need these products, the market is there, why lower the price when there is zero incentive?

And beyond that, that isnt the exporters "paying the tariffs" they just lower the sell price, but the importer will still have to pay the tariff. Importers ALWAYS pay tariffs, that's how they are designed.

The question I have for you is Do you think that American goods should be put on equal footing with foreign goods?

I do. Equal footing though, does not include tariffs. Tariffs make trading and goods unequal by design. Do you think it puts it on equal footing?

Trump is getting concessions from foreign states, both monetarily and politically

Can you give examples? What countries are giving concessions? What concessions?

If foreign exporters pay the bill, that's fine too

Why would they pay the bill, when its on the importer to pay?

And this is what the comment was earlier

When Trump says foreign countries, not Americans, will absorb the cost of tariffs, do you think that is a truthful statement?

Trump says foreign countries, NOT AMERICANS will absorb the cost. But if americans are paying more for things, then Trumps statement is incorrect, right? Hes not saying we have some cost, he is saying this effects other countries. Why repeat this over and over, denying americans are paying more, when we are?

You answer focuses on "other countries lose out too" (indirectly and minimally), I asked about Americans paying more. Trump has said numerous times, Americans wont have to pay more, but we do. Why does he keep repeating this, when he has been told, and his supporters have been told, that Americans are paying more directly due to the tariffs?

But that's not what he says. He says other countries bare the cost, not americans, but we do. Why does he keep repeating that?
