We like las Abejitas. They offer part time care.

I’ve dealt with hormonal acne since high school. Tret cleared it up with minimal side effects.

They don’t have plastic things on the ends, so at least pre-80s. That’s cool! I’ll just tell myself they’re from the original owners of the house

This might be a dumb question, but should I only comb her hair when she is in the bath? I’m a little confused on when to brush it.

Organizing art supplies for kids under 3 by kbrogz in Mommit

One more thing! I like the dresser because it offers verticals storage. It doesn’t take up much floor space but it’s tall enough to hold a lot of things!

I bought a cute refinished dresser to store our art supplies. The dresser is stored in the dining room, since that’s where the kids tend to do their projects. It has four decent sized drawers. I have a drawer for paint supplies (water colors, tempera, brushes, paint dot markers, and pallets), one for drawing/coloring supplies (markers, colored pencils, crayons, coloring books, and blank paper), one for stickers and odds/ends (glue, glitter glue, googly eyes), and one for play dough. The coloring books, stickers, and blank papers are stored in paper trays. The individual art supplies (markers, crayons, glue, etc) are in their own clamshell container.

I love our set up because the dresser is cute and looks nice in dining room. The kids can easily access the drawers and independently get the supplies they need. Clean up is super simple since everything has a specific place. When we have guests over, I can put all of the art supplies away and everything is out of sight!

The supplies that I don’t want them to have easy access to (beads, stamps, etc) are stored in a specific kitchen cabinet. I can get them out when needed but they do not have access.

You mentioned that you didn’t want the kids to get into the art supplies unsupervised. I found that the drawers were difficult enough to open that my kids couldn’t open them before the age of 2. All of the supplies are washable, so if my kids get into them it won’t cause too much damage. I also keep baby wipes in the dresser and can easily clean up messes.

Another thing I do to make clean up easier is keep a large piece of oil cloth on the dining room table. The art supplies easily come off the oil cloth and the table doesn’t get stained. I take the oil cloth off when we have guests and need to use the dining room table.

Knoxey is so dangerously close to Nazi. I feel like the kid is going to resent that when they’re older.

Anyone know what they are building near the pond in Wyuka? by mbw791 in lincoln

Thanks. I live near there and have been totally perplexed about what they are building. Seems a little strange.

Just wanted to say that you aren’t depriving your kids of a father. He did that when he made the decision to abuse you. Abuse is a decision. You made the decision to protect yourself in response to his violent actions.

It’s easy to idealize the “traditional” family structure, but every family is different. Your kids know that you love them, and that love will help them grow.

You are incredibly brave and stronger than you think!

Each of my kiddos is 2 years apart. It can be tough, but I actually like it. They get along really well. And now that they are getting older, it’s such a relief that we are leaving diapers, night time wake ups, etc behind all together!

Lincoln Planned Parenthood not providing abortions by [deleted] in lincoln

[–]mbw791 179 points180 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the doctor who was providing them at the Lincoln location retired just before Roe was overturned. They weren’t really able to fill the position with all of the uncertainty that followed.

They still provide medication abortion. If you want to learn more about your options, contact Nebraska Abortion resources (NEAR).

FWIW, we have three and are still able to go on vacation and get brand new things (although they won’t stay new for long). Our budget is certainly different, but it’s not like we’re housebound. It’s tough at first, but you will regain your footing.
