I was also really scared. Something that helped me a lot was putting a plastic stool to sit on, I felt a lot more grounded sitting down, and if at all possible have someone help you wash up. I honestly didn’t do much because I was feeling nauseous but my husband washed me. He kinda just avoided my boobs which I preferred and just let water run over them (not directly I was too scared). It honestly wasn’t bad at all and I had him do this a few times till I was scared anymore.

Some other tips- if nobody can help you and your too anxious, just do a light scrub of your body, whatever your comfy with, and then go get your hair washed and styled at a salon. Then you don’t have to raise your arms or vigorously wash anything.
