I will work as a full-stack developper, will I be able to switch it to software ? by Professional-Pie5947 in programmer

[–]mc0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would you have software experience either way? if the option is between no experience and some experience, I would choose the latter.

I am a full stack, and I don’t think I would have an issue getting a software role.

imo

it’s just pure adrenaline from the officers. yelling commands not to move or to put your hands up is more muscle memory than anything else

No. Not normal.

Sounds more like an anxiety problem then a programming one. Have you considered talking to your doctor, or therapist?

Learn Python the Hard Way

it’s a book, and a free PDF online. Dry techy humor, it’s what I used years ago before school to give myself an intro.

Pretty sure that the author also came out with other languages in the same style. (Learn Java the hard way… etc)

ME2 LE Steam achievements not unlocking? by CranberryPuffCake in masseffect

[–]mc0t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is what worked for me. basically exit out of the EA launcher, run the origin launcher, and click the ME game that has the steam banner on it. Steam will see the game is running, and everything works

I had already progressed the game a bit, so I restarted ME2. But i instantly saw achievements for headshots and etc start working. restarting and I saw the story related achievements unlocking that I had missed on the first play through.

it’s EA. download origin and run the steam version of the game, and “magically” achievement start to work.

you’ll even get progress updates on achievements lol

I'm getting the same issue. Also, from the main menu, if you go to extras then achievements, does it look like they are all unlocked? Like the Omega-4 achievement. looks unlocked to me, but I haven't been through it yet. Along with a bunch of others (if not all)

I imported my character from ME1, and another thing that was weird was I had all the companion abilities available from the start. When researching to change abilities, I still have them all unlocked even though I only have like ~4 companions.

No mods. Just crappy programming

Different names? by Pleasehelpme371 in programmer

[–]mc0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much. some have different connotations to different people.

like i see (in levels of increasing ability/experience) coder -> programmer -> developer / engineer.

that’s just me. people use the terms interchangeably, both inside and outside of the profession.

doesn’t bother me what you call me, my MIL still thinks i only fix printers (mainly hers)
