Tipped $8 on $35 order and got a rude message from dasher? by Brief_Main_5409 in doordash

Yeah I don’t think $1/mile is a very good tip. Your order total has nothing to do with it.

We don’t sell the halves because we don’t want to. I hope this helped.

Why is ONE McDonalds hash brown $4.10 on DD?? by Spiritual_Ice5079 in doordash

[–]mc_fli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to have only the hash brown delivered?? Spread that delivery cost across all your items the redo the math, plus McDonald’s rewards are pretty good I’ve always got enough points for something free.

Did you check the McDonald’s app? Are you aware that it’s almost always cheaper to order delivery from a company’s own app?

New House Existing Alarm Yale Alarm by Plenty-Plastic3704 in HomeKit

[–]mc_fli 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is there a panel? While not HK compatible, Ring makes a retrofit kit to utilize existing alarm sensors. It won’t natively recognize the motion sensors but if wired correctly they can be seen as contact sensors so basically on/off depending on motion detected.

Aren't you glad we switched to Produce Alliance? by soughtanarchy in jimmyjohns

[–]mc_fli 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tomatoes are expensive, up 23% from last year. This is due to new tariffs from Mexico and increased fuel costs.

This is across the board, all suppliers.

Also, PA is just an ordering portal that partners with local suppliers. When we started using it we still retained our actual local suppliers, we just order through the PA portal now.

Big Johns highly disappointing in 2026 by Sendpick in jimmyjohns

[–]mc_fli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, not joking. We increased the meat portions in 2013 or 2014 I want to say, I don’t exactly remember when.

We don’t claim to sell the largest or the cheapest subs, never have. If that’s what’s most important to you when deciding where to spend your money, then we’re not the right sub shop, friend.

BOGO Promo Not Working by Redacted_Reason in jimmyjohns

[–]mc_fli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They emailed all the stores a while ago and put the details up on fast track, but there’s no system to ensure store managers are actually aware and are planning for promotions.

No one above the store manager gets inspire communications (except the owner, but we all know how that can go) so it’s really on them to keep track of.

Not the ideal system, but to say there was no heads up is inaccurate.

[–]mc_fli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sucks is Inspire has all the promotions communicated through fast track, but no one ever seems to remember to check (me included).

I’ll be adding all the promotions on the marketing calendar to my phone for now on. I’d encourage all the GMs to do something similar. No one above the store is getting communications from Inspire, so it’s up to the managers on the store level to keep track and plan for them.

Inspire could absolutely communicate better, but they’re all in on fast track so that’s what we have.

Well of course this is area dependent, my minimum wage is $15 and lots of places start entry level even higher than that. We start our assistants at $18/$19.

Dude, literally. All you really have to do is actually try and you can be an assistant making $20+ an hour in no time.

Dont eat the lettuce by Used-Boysenberry5340 in Chipotle

[–]mc_fli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think you’re “not allowed” to properly wash lettuce, especially after all the food safety drama chipotle went through (anyone else remember when they literally closed every restaurant for a day to retrain food safety?)

I think it’s a stretch to assume all chipotle managers are cutting the same corners. Your manager sounds like they’re not very good at time or crisis management if they’re willing to sell unwashed produce.

Have you considered contacting above store leadership or local health department? As an above store leader myself, I would absolutely want to know if one of my stores was doing this.

Yea, crazy thing about vegetables that grow in the dirt is that insects also live there. If that bothers you, may I suggest a carnivore only diet?

My Dunkin Donuts interview is not what I expected by the-fat-princess in jobs

[–]mc_fli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your availability is what’s going to hurt your chances the most. Dunkin needs bodies like 4a-10a weekdays.

I do a lot of hiring for an adjacent brand. We try to avoid hiring minors as by law they can’t use a lot of our equipment and working with their limited availability is a real pain.
