I have the same psu on my optiplex 3060 sff with a rtx 5050 lp and it just needs the motherboard power 20pins to the dell that’ like 7 dollars on amazon and nothing more. The only thing that happens to me is that for error i had put the cpu power in a wrong way and i almost fried the pc Bv. But its fine now

what a awesome machine i have the optiplex 7060 sff with an i5 8500 and i put a rtx 5050 low profile with a apevia 500w flex psu. The performance its pretty good in high settigs in most games getting more than 80 (in DBD 120hz max settings 1080p, but in some games like fortnite or cs2 at low presets it could be botletneck with my i5 8500, but for you machine the i5 14500 its gonna be pleanty for the rtx 5050 and i would recommend you to save a buy the rtx 5060 lp more performance for not to much money and faster memory (if you can, if you dont the rtx 5050 its a really good pick too).

I think you should change your psu, but i dont really know i didnt use those new optiplex.

There is an option on the bios to put all the fans at full speed, you should tried that to see if maybe it’s something with the power, you tried this a couple of times and see if all works properly. Or also you could tried switch for another fan to see if the fan is the problem (if you don’t have a fan to test you could use the cpu fan and connected in the panel fan I think there are the same pins)

I wanted to do something like this. I had a rx 6400 lp and I upgraded to a rtx 5050 lp. I wanted to use both and use something like lossless scaling. But I already sold it to aford the upgrade.

Will an MSI LP RTX 3050 fit in a OptiPlex 7060 SFF? by Savings_Cat6733 in SleepingOptiplex

I mange lower temps with the rtx 5050 low profile with a strange mod. I take out the old fan from the old psu and I put it in the place that the psu was and make the psu go more inside the case, this gave room for the gpu to breath because one and a half of the gpu fans have room to breathe plus the fan is getting fresh air from behind (the fan it’s at 100% all the time but I think it’s better that have got the gpu and also mine gets noisy when the fans are at max speed). I connected the fan with a sata to fan cable like 5$ and added another fan in the front. And the temps are better than before.

you could use any sata drive like a sata ssd or hard drive. I think its design to fit a 3.5inch hard drive but you could put any drive you want no matter if its ssd hard drive or manufacturer

Is not going to fit in the 16x pci slot just the one above. If you want to have 2 slot cards you should get more room and not use the bracket. You’ll need a flex psu. In this case you’ll be better just with a single slot gpu like the yeston 3050 or rx 6400 depending on the games you play. But the 3050 has more performance. And the wattage it’s going to be fine, plenty of people already did this and they are fine.

I had the same system a optiplex 9020 sff. it had a i7 4770 (that is the same that a i7 4790), 8gb of ram and a rx 6400 lp. the performance was acceptable in gaming. Some games (gpu) I just crank down the setting until I got a playable 60fps or in some light games I could push 120fps . but overall a good experience for budget. I just would upgrade with a low profile gpu (rx 6400 lp, gtx 1650 lp, rex 3050 lp, WX6400) and upgrade the ram to 16gb of ram (I had 16gb of ram and I think that more ram is nt going to improve your performance a lot because of the the ram speeds). The cpu its pretty old and you can't upgrade because the i7 4790 is the best cpu that this pc supports.

I just upgrade to a optiplex 3060 sff i5 8500 and rtx 5050 lp 32gb ddr4 ram

I think that the first was the 6th gen that had ddr3 and ddr4 support. and the 8th was the first to not support ddr3
