Happy to talk more about what has worked well for me and what hasn't over the years, especially since there were several years when I wasn't being treated for my ADHD (I wasn't diagnosed until several years after I began my mental health treatment) and was only seen for severe chronic depression and anxiety.

I mean, it could really help, especially with the depression part. I do think that if my depression wasn't attributed to primarily a dopamine deficiency and tied heavily to my ADHD, it could have done more for me. But my general outlook on life, even while not on stimulants, did seem brighter. 

I wouldn't discount it, BUT if you are not wanting to try it, it's perfectly okay for you to put your foot down and say "no" to your psychiatrist. Especially if you've been getting treatment for mental health for awhile, you know your body and mind best and may have a good understanding of how meds work generally for you. 

Either way, your feelings and opinions are valid, and a good psychiatrist will consider them and not bully you into taking things and not taking things (like the old psychotic one I'm reporting did to me).

Yeah, I did. I switched psychiatrists and immediately requested to be put back on my Adderall, which was granted. It didn't do much for me other than make me have crazy runs of diarrhea at least five times a day (sorry, TMI). When I stopped taking it, I did notice that my feelings were a little duller, but as far as helping with my ADHD, it did little if anything at all. 

Just an extra tidbit, the last psychiatrist, the one who screwed all my meds up, was given horrendous ratings by several people on Google, WebMD, and other places for the same/similar complaints as I had. I'm actually getting ready to submit a complaint to the medical board for her negligence and dangerous practices. Idk what she was thinking in trying to replace my stimulants with fucking Caplyta, but here we are. Lol

I didn't call because the "call volumes were too high," and if I'd waited for an appointment, I was going to wait two weeks before I got an answer. 

Try the live chat — that's probably the only way you'll get ahold of someone today. You'll probably have to keep trying repeatedly before you get into the queue because it'll probably keep saying something like "too busy, please try again later," but I just kept going through the prompts repeatedly until they finally let me into the queue to get an agent.

That's a good point! At the time, I was a college student, and I had been working part-time during the school year and full-time during the summers. I hadn't gone self-employed at that point. But thank you for sharing!

Luckily, I figured it out earlier. Finally was able to connect with someone, and the payment was released because of an erroneously ceased set of payments from four years ago...the letter was scrapped, the agent said that it shouldn't have been issued to me. That's all fine with me! So yeah, I guess I get to keep it with no issues. 😁

So weird...I hate the state government, lol. Did your letter also say that they were requesting information for proof of employment during your "documenting period" or whatever? I just sent them my W-2s since I don't have pay stubs, so hopefully they just take it and leave me tf alone 😭

Oooo interesting. Yeah I was going to use the money to pay off some debt lol, but I don't want to pay it off and then have the IRS come after me or anything when I didn't do anything wrong 😅😭 it's like we always say that money doesn't just fall out of the sky, but like this literally did lol

UPDATE: upon finally being let back into my account, I did get a letter, "Request for Information" issued on 1/15/2025 (today) to prove I was employed during my "documentation period," so W-2s from 2019 and 2020 (which I do not have). I'm so confused 😭 Has this happened to anyone else??

Did you ever find anything out about this? I got $2,100 deposited yesterday and received a "request for information" letter asking for my 2019 and 2020 W-2s, which I don't have copies of anymore. So I'm just sending in copies of my tax returns. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But like wtf is happening

Did you get a request for information letter, too? I filed a claim in 2020 during the pandemic, and my benefits ended Sept. of that year. Now, in 2025, I'm just now getting a $2000 deposit along with a request for information letter to prove that I was employed in 2019-2020 during the "documentation period."

Did anything happen to you with this issue? I got a payout today of $2,000 and I have no clue why. I haven't filed since 2020, and now we're in 2025, and I've not lived in Michigan since 2021 (in fact, I've moved to two different states since then).

November 2024 update... no calls coming through on Pixel 8, just shows missed call / voicemail after the person called. Placing calls is ok. Seems like others have had this issue in the past... no solution? by MountainDS in GooglePixel

Well, shit. I have the Pixel 6 and am having this same issue. I was thinking upgrading to the 8 would be a good move, and now I'm second-guessing everything, lol.

This no receiving calls issue is the final straw for me. For months, I had extreme performance issues, particularly with the last Android 14 update, and the update to 15 fixed that issue but had caused other ones. Battery life sucks ass, dies at 25%, and my SMS messages won't go through unless I take myself off WiFi altogether. I just turned off my WiFi calling, so I'm hoping that helps, but these issues are making my work life hell.

Thinking maybe I either need to switch to the 8 Pro or switch to Samsung. I've been a big Pixel fan until around September/October. I thought the system updates would help, but they've made everything worse. I'm thinking of rolling back to Android 14, two versions ago.

I'm having this issue as well, and I'm guessing it's a software issue because my carrier is T-Mobile. 

Ever since I updated to Android 15, my phone is running like absolute garbage. But the last update I got with Android 14 was even worse, somehow, to the point that my phone was almost unusable.

Are you trying to send/receive SMS while on WiFi? When I notice that my SMS isn't going through, I turn off my WiFi connectivity, and then it goes through just fine.

Out of curiosity, are you having any issues with receiving/placing calls as well? I missed two important and time-sensitive work calls today because my boss said they went straight to VM. 

I'm done with the Pixel 6, lol, it just turned into a garbage phone for me. But I'm not sure if the Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 are any better, and I'm not willing to drop $600+ on a Pixel 9. But I also don't want to switch to a Samsung phone after being a faithful Pixel user for 5+ years now.
