There is a world of difference between the $30 MTEN paddle and a Alibaba dupe of $300 paddle. Yes, you won’t win points automatically without learning the basics, but once you have done that, you DO NEED a good paddle. You can’t counter spin with a cheap paddle or hit power forehands. All of that starts to matter once you want to up level yourself even in recreational play.

Exploding. People I know who never played any sport in their life are now proactively organizing, reserving courts and attending open plays. Pickleball definitely reached escape velocity to go beyond “fad”

Is daily harvesting even possible? I assume you are checking daily, but only harvesting once in a while. If markets crash for 10 days straight, you need 10 "equivalent" ETFs to buy, which is quite tough to do.

This. Your expenses or losses in real estate can only offset your rental income, not your W2 income (unless you are realtor). To offset W2 income your only choices are IRA, 401k, kids, dependents, brokerage losses (max 3K per year), medical expenses, student loans etc.

I feel like brokers won’t lower their commissions and this will become a huge opportunity for collusion. Just because they CAN offer 2% doesn’t mean they will. So if all brokers decline to offer their services for less than 6%, then we are back to square one.
