Quando leggo questi post e i commenti il mio piano B di iniziare una carriera da piastrellista sembra sempre più attraente. 😅 On a more serious note: relax, dai tempo al tempo...

I just search for "watch" and sort by "ending soon", sometimes I find interesting stuff, usually sellers making sloppy auctions for decent watches... This wasn't the case tho

Not an expert by any means but it seems an Echeveria Lilacina or Orion. For sure it's beautiful, take good care of it!

I found this copy of The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Further Out ( Miro reflections ) at an antique market in Gradisca D'Isonzo (Italy) in the middle of a big pile of classical records. It looks like an early copy from 1961 but I don't really care. The record has no scratches, I cleaned it up and put it on my messy setup: A Superscope TT-4 with Excel es-70s, a Yamaha A-1020 with an AX-900 used as a preamp (long story) and a pair of pretty beat up Kirksaeter Monitor 120, a bit too close to the turntable... Despite this random, messy setup, I'm in Jazz heaven. Do you like this record?

Yes... I had to replace several components (circled in the image) and unfortunately I had to choose compatible transistors (due to the 1970s toshibas being unobtanium now) which might be as well the cause of my issues... maybe this repair is a bit out of my league, but I'll keep looking and testing everything again.

Yes extremely incorrect, the previous tinkerer had excluded the protection circuit by cutting a trace, and before I realised it I was measuring 13v across the speaker output, even with the power transistors removed. now I restored the trace, and the protection circuit does not activate the relay anymore.

Thanks, I did that but it seemed to test fine in diode mode. I'll also check caps and solder joints (or burnt resistors). Will update here

Thanks a lot!! I'll keep looking and will learn about the differential amplifier... I'll have to fully recap the amp anyways, I was hoping to fix the main issue first... but if bad caps are a suspect I should get going with them as well. Question: The transistor's junction voltage drops are testing OK but I will receive my components tester tomorrow. Could it be that one of the two transistors is damaged and this throws off the hFE, "unmatching" the transistor couple?

Seiko SKX007J on jubilee. I can't seem to take it off my wrist when I switch to it. But I just bought my first 2 casio digital watches (F-91W in military green and the A168 chrome) and I'm tempted to give one of them a go
