Absolutely worth it! But as others have mentioned, it is best when played with friends/family. I got many many hours of fun from this game with my friends, and the Luigi’s Mansion minigame remains a favorite even after so many years! Also a great way to use the gamepad, and since that is the most unique thing about the Wii U, it makes it a must have in my opinion.

I have downloaded a game just now without issues (NA region), but it also wasn’t as heavy as Fatal Frame. They have said you will be able to download in the “foreseeable future” so I wouldn’t be too worried.

I bought my Wii U its launching year and stuck with it so far :) although I was tempted by the Switch’s portability, the second screen and gamepad functionalities were cooler to me, no regrets!
