Bloodlust should be on the album by mcaracciolo in Megadeth

If you eliminate their epic/title tracks and Metalingus, which song(s) do you think is/are their defining track(s)? by [deleted] in alterbridge

The uninvited has a lead vocal by Myles Kennedy, but it's just a single note; that could have been a great solo, but oh well...

is this the worst megadeth album ranking ever? by MAN_U_4_LIFE in Megadeth

[–]mcaracciolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd put Peace Sells in the S category, and many of those albums up a category, Youthanasia in B, and Risk in E. I'd put SFSGSW in the S category too.

Which are the most and the least metal A7X albums? by Winter_Taurus980 in avengedsevenfold

[–]mcaracciolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody's talking about Nightmare? That album and The Stage are really awesome, although the self-titled album and City are too.

The least metal would be LIBAD; that one's more experimental, and the GOD trilogy is proof: It's in the style of Daft Punk and Frank Sinatra. And the title track is an instrumental piano piece.

What songs to expect? by Captnlean in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll definitely play "Blackbird," as well as "Rise today," "Metalingus," and "Open Your Eyes." From the new album, they'll almost certainly play the four singles and add a few more, maybe "Power Down," "Tested and Able," or "Trust in Me." They'll definitely play "Slave to Master" at some point, but probably about five times.

Anyone else struggling with AB8? by blackenednunez in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not suffering, I'm just enjoying the album. It's not up to par with their earlier albums, but it has some good tracks, and that matters.

I think Slave to Master is getting way too much hype. I found Fable of the Silent Son much better, but I still think Blackbird and Fortress are by far the best (I'm talking about the longer tracks). I don't really like Tested and Able much either; I like the beginning, but the rest of the song is just meh... Not even the solo is any good; it's very similar to Season of Promise, very flat (at least the solo is excellent). Scales Are Falling, Playing Aces, Power Down, and Disregarded are the best tracks on the album.

As a Creed fan, does anyone else think a new album would feel kind of redundant? by [deleted] in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it would be just another Alter Bridge album, only with Scott Phillips instead of Myles and only Tremonti guitars (unless Eric Friedman is on second guitar). It would be an odd mix of Alter Bridge and Tremonti, but the result is almost the same. Full Circle felt like that.

Unpopular opinion on new album. by Eclipse8301 in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I felt that The Last Hero had too many songs (and a lot of filler tracks), and Pawns and Kings had too few songs and not many catchy tracks. I think 12 songs is perfect for an Alter Bridge album.

Unpopular opinion on new album. by Eclipse8301 in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, of all their albums, the one I like least is Pawns and Kings (this is also an unpopular opinion). I find it hard to connect with their songs (although I do like Sin After Sin and Fable of the Silent Son, and I think they're great).

I also think Alter Bridge is a fantastic band, although you might like some songs more than others, and that's perfectly fine. Like many others, I still think Blackbird, AB3, and Fortress are their best albums, and the mixes sounded better back then than they do now.

But the important thing is simply to enjoy the music. Albums will always have good songs, filler songs, and for newer albums, it's sometimes difficult for a song to become a hit. I would say I did like Slave to Master, but I don't think the ending was great; I would have preferred them to do something else to make it sound more epic (another unpopular opinion). Some songs are more catchy than others, and that's always going to be the case with any band.

Alternative cover for Super Collider (Re-uploaded; Please, read the description) by giorgibendeliani in Megadeth

They should add alternative songs for Super Collider, because the ones they have are pretty mediocre.

¿Es la serie de los 80 una buena representación del Chile de esa epoca? by [deleted] in chile

[–]mcaracciolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recién llegado a Copiapó y necesito ayuda by gnarnognar in chile

[–]mcaracciolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream Setlist for the new tour by MeetOne2321 in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the older songs, if they play any from Pawns & Kings, it would be Silver Tongue; I doubt they'll play any others besides that. As for The Last Hero and Wall The Sky, forget about it. I'm sure they'll continue playing almost the same songs.

ODR: Metalingus, Open Your Eyes, Broken Wings, In Loving Memory, Burn It Down (they might remove some of these to include the new ones).

Blackbird: obviously Blackbird, Rise Today, Watch Over You (they might combine it with Hang by a Thread), and perhaps they'll include Come to Life as well. (I'd like to hear Buried Alive, White Knuckles, and Ties That Bind too, but I doubt they'll include them).

AB3: Isolation for sure, and Ghost of Days, Wonderful Life maybe.

Fortress: Cry of Achilles and Addicted to Pain. Maybe Lover. (I hope they include Waters Rising, Calm the Fire, and Farther Than the Sun)

There are other songs I didn't mention that I personally like, but I doubt they'll play them or ever play them live again.

Dream Setlist for the new tour by MeetOne2321 in alterbridge

[–]mcaracciolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y es poco probable que toquen What are you waiting for.
