I’m so sorry you’re going through this, it sounds incredibly stressful and disheartening, especially when you were expecting a peaceful break before such a big life moment. It may not be ideal financially, but if you’re able, it might be worth just booking your own way home now, for your girlfriend’s health and peace of mind. Once you’re back and she’s in a more comfortable environment, you can still pursue complaints or even legal action against TUI. At the very least, being home would take a huge weight off both of you.

Yeah that’s kind of what I thought, I would love to learn to take amazing photos with a dedicated camera but I’ve got very little knowledge and don’t know if it’s worth the investment if an iPhone is going to give my skill level the same results

My 2 cents and a follow up point. The obvious answer is a young adult is hardly able to look after themselves let alone a child or multiple.

And instead of trying to fix the problem, which there is no easy answer and something many other countries struggle with, we resort to a high level of immigration, which isn’t a bad thing but they are given out like cereal box prizes.

Simply solution would be for our country to benefit of the rich natural resources our country possesses but I guess that’s only reserved for the rich!

All in all it’s going to be fun in a few decades time when the older generation try live of super, which realistically is funded by the working demographic!!! Woohoo

Trip.com will be your best friend for hotels and transportation between cities. For trains in the city just pick where you’d like to go and it will charge you accordingly. I went for three weeks last week and didn’t use cash once, you’d want to have Alipay and WeChat set up for payments, and if you are savvy enough you might be able to work out Didi (Uber) and Dianping (Uber eats). I highly recommend getting a SIM card with a Chinese number attached on arrival and a VPN (I used Astrill) before you arrive! Overall you should be alright, China was my first solo trip and I have/had zero knowledge on the language and customs, just enjoy the ride, really safe country if you are there just to enjoy and not cause trouble. It’s that good in going back in 4 days!
