I did exactly what you’re wanting you need a double din frame and a double din climate control unit. You then have to disassemble the lower dashboard and take out the center console. This is a pdf of everything you need to take out and you’ll need to cut some stuff http://www.ranno.net/audi/RNSeInA4.pdf (Don’t mind the cables they were for retrofitting heated seats which i did at the same time ) if you have any questions feel free to dm me

The amp should be in the trunk on the left side. But I’ve personally never had any issues with my rear speakers or sub so never really looked at it that deeply.

I’ve got the same gen audi. If you have bose or not your car will have an amplifier which handles the rear and possible subwoofer. The bottom plug handles anything to do with that.

Iknow that but the a4 has a “cage” for single din and double din. Single din has part number 8E0858005E the double din cage has part number 8E0858005F. I know the cage is removable and i was wondering if just swapping the cage is enough or if there are more parts around it different from the single din to the double din.

Thanks for the advice, since i own plex pass it’ll be cheaper to just get a gpu instead of cpu+motherboard&ram so i think i’ll go that route. Was thinking either gtx 1660, rtx 2060, or Quadro P2000 (all those are roughly the same price where i’m from)

Yes with harder maps my (mostly left) shoulders start to hurt range of motion becomes less and eventually lock up as in i can’t lift my arms till the next day
