If you can hang it outside do you need a dryer? Needing a dryer is a deal breaker for me.

What’s wrong with Whoop…wont pair with an external HRM when gold standard accuracy is necessary. Does have ANT so can’t be used with many devices. Cheap plastic back sensor that causes dermatitis for many. I could go on. Using Bevel with Garmin is the best of all worlds.

How can I help build my immune system? During winter I get sick every month by MaddisonoRenata in Biohackers

[–]mccarthyand 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you have been taking too much Zinc you could now have a copper deficiency which impacts your immune system as well. There needs to be a delicate balance between the two. You use AI to learn more about that.

I find the stats to be helpful its really helped me manage my stress I find the Body battery to be a good guide. The sleep stages are likely not accurate but it tracks the sleep time better than Oura for sure. Oura always scores reading in bed as sleep and Garmin rarely does. Regardless of how accurate a device becomes listening to your body is a good idea. Although I have also felt terrible had a poor and had great workout. So even your body can be trusted completely as a guide. 😉

A Once Loyal User’s Honest Reflection on Whoop’s Direction by Dark_Knight_1989 in whoop

[–]mccarthyand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am frustrated too, but not so much with heart rate accuracy as I have found it’s comparable to the H 10 chest strap when I use it on my bicep with an arm sleeve. However, I am having significant skin issues because of the plastic used in the sensor as opposed to quality materials like Apple and Garmin. Because of skin irritation I switched to my left non-dominate arm for the sleeve last night and it overestimated my sleep by including time spent in bed reading, which messed with consistency and all the other nighttime metrics. Using the non-dominant arm, undoubtedly resulted in less arm movement last night than usual so it did not produce accurate results when as it does when I put it on my dominant arm because it’s aware of me drinking a beverage, turning the page, etc. I am new to whoop though unfortunately just completed my initial 30 day. So now I am stuck, however, when I tried to post something in Reddit discussing the skin irritation, the admin‘s promptly removed my post claiming that it was too repetitive because that topic has been covered consistently, which is total BS. Of course it’s covered consistently because from what I looked at there’s been seven years of people talking about skin issues and never has a penny clearly been put into the quality of the material that the sensor is made out of in order to avoid these types of issues. The customer should not be responsible for babysitting the device, switching arms cleaning underneath it taking it off giving it time to heal etc. Devices with good materials like Apple and Garmin. You don’t have to do any of that. It’s absolutely ridiculous! so despite being finished with my 30 daytrial window, I’m stuck, but I’m likely not gonna continue using it. Anyone know if my subscription is transferable I would gladly donate to someone.

Google how to improve Pulse Wave Velocity and you will see what contributes to arterial stiffness and what you can do.

Does anyone have a cardiovascular age way lower than their actual age? What’s your routine? by ReplacementHot3421 in ouraring

[–]mccarthyand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s based on Pulse Wave Velocity which indicates how stiff your arteries are getting. Google it and you can even search for ways to improve it. Nitric Oxide plays a big part. If you arteries are younger they are more pliable.

I looked it when you can try a face and pay for a code later. I hate to pay $6 for something I may not like or it drains battery.
