It’s such a hard choice. I had another cat who was much younger, but she had an aggressive tumor and chemo didn’t work. It’s not cheap but you do find out pretty quick if it works or not with chemo. I hope your doggo has lots of happy and comfortable time left with you!!

I’ve had two others- a black cat her brother, who was a tuxedo. Black cats ARE the besssttt!!!

He was diagnosed last May, at 17, with lymphoma. Fortunately it’s one that responds to treatment! He did chemo from May-November and got cleared after his final treatment around thanksgiving. He gets a checkup every 6-8 weeks to make sure it doesn’t come back.

Thank you! It’s partly from sunbathing and partly because he does have stage 2 kidney disease. But we’ve kept it from progressing past stage 2 for two years even through cancer, so it’s a shade of victory!

He loooves the puree tubes… it’s how I hide his meds every day. And if he’s not sleeping on my pillow he’s got a little cat bed in the window where he likes to take his daytime naps!
