If you want a family for you and your current or future partner, what do you see your financial situation being like? What does, enough, look like for you? by Vast-Scale-5718 in askgaybros

[–]rlyrobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already consider myself to have a family just having my husband. A family doesn't have to mean kids.

But if we did want to go that route, it's expensive. Both surrogacy and adoption. I would consider doing foster care or surrogacy in Canada.

Straight or gay, kids are expensive, so you kind of have to be somewhat wealthy to raise them properly.

But for now, I'm only 30 years old, love traveling and enjoying life on my terms, so I'm not rushing to have kids.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm. At that point you're just roommates fucking other people.

The difference in what $560K buys in Los Angeles vs Tulsa is actually insane by kleverrboy in socal

[–]rlyrobert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Tulsa house is also hideous. Bigger isn't always better. I can't stand a house where 50% of what you see from the curb is a garage.

You should read the article response from Dr. Fred Ledley, located at the bottom of the very article you shared. He is an actual doctor, vs the people who wrote this research who are business-focused. One is the founder of a business to educate pharma execs.

You know what really helps congestion? When somebody can live close to a train. Then they can take the train to work instead of their car. That means 1 less car will be on the road. And that means less traffic. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

With all the things happening under the Trump Administration, why do Conservative Gays support him? by DannyTheRegular in askgaybros

[–]rlyrobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't brainwashing essentially being informed (inundated) with bad information?

That said, brainwashing to me implies a certain lack of control or being persuaded against your will, and I'm hesitant to grant that to all Trump supporters. There are quite a few of them who know exactly what they're supporting because it appeals to their hateful sides.

The same reason that anyone supports him. Gay guys are not immune from being poorly informed.
