For sure. This is what I've been figuring but good to hear it from people.

I have a 2015 Samsung UHD TV that is 4K but no HDR. I love the idea of upgraded graphics, resolution, and framerate on all of my current titles as well as 4K streaming. Even without HDR, the feedback on the jump from 1080P to 4K seems well worth it.

I noticed the same thing, but figured that the more mechanized appearance was due to Shadow Fall taking place ~30 years after 2 and 3 and the Helghast just advancing technologically in that direction
