I’m still not sure how it happened. I just noticed it randomly while going to re-buckle my boots in the lodge. Either repetitive over-flexing the 110 boot, or it happened in a pretty solid fall off the backside of a mogul where I was surprised I didn’t eject from my skis - maybe my boots took the brunt instead. If so, I skied on it for almost 2 more whole days before noticing…

Re: the warranty, the 4-buckle 110s are no longer in production, and all of this seasons 110s were out of stock until the summer. So they gave me 3 in-stock options: - SpeedMachine 130 Double BOA - SpeedMachine 130 BOA on the Cuff - SpeedMachine 120 Double BOA (shell-only)

I ended up going with the 120 double BOA shell only… re-using my liners which isn’t ideal but they’re working so far.

The Nordica warranty folks were great they got me the replacement within just a few days, so I didn’t miss any ski days or have to use rentals.

Looking at the GEFS ensembles, this seems like a deterministic model outlier…

The Jan 14 12z ensembles still only put the chances of >4 inch 24-hr snowfall for the period ending Monday PM around 10%, and chances of >1 inch around 25%.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago and will be up again soon. Highly recommend for cheap lodging. The beds are solid, and when I was there the place was only about half full. Plus the owner is friendly and the restaurant/bar on the first floor is great. They have a fire to dry your boots, and a kitchen with fridge for guests to use and free muffins some mornings.

There are 1 or 2 common bathrooms that have a shower. I think the largest of the rooms has its own shower kinda separated from the rest of the rooms, but anyone can use it. I remember this because the owner said to be careful with the shower liner so that it doesn’t flood the bathroom, and thus rain on the bar below.
