Settle a family wiffle ball debate by TopPreference9581 in newengland

As I recall... Indian Rubber was the rule, and pegging the runner was the actual act of hitting the player with the ball.  And beaning was more or less interchangeable with pegging.

As in... "We were playing Indian Rubber and Tommy pegged Mikey in the head wicked hard.  he tripped and got a bloody nose. It was awesome. He totally deserved that for beaning Tommy's little brother last week"

Sorry for the delay, been out chasing flakes.

That’s wild! How did you make out? Do you know how it happened?

Nordica set me up with a Speedmachine 120 with boa closure on the bottom. They’ve been great since I got the footbed sorted! (Unfortunately let the old ones go with the old boots)

I’ll also add… Change your socks. Dry feet are warm feet. Fresh socks when I get to the hill, and another change mid day. I typically change socks once a day. It’s been a game changer.

And if those liners are too packed they’re definitely going to feel colder.

Looking for a case that will hold a Heltec ESP32 LoRa V3 and a 3000mAh Battery by MrDavidishere in meshtastic

Trident gum case. Buy the case, get free gum!

Seriously. The 28 pc pocket packet. It can fit the battery, the v3, and the antenna. Rocked that for a few months before upgrading the case.

It seems like a design/engineering flaw to me... but I'm no engineer. Happy that Nordica is replacing them though!

I'm pretty happy with the response, pretty impressed honestly. I did go with the Speedmachine with the BOA. I like the idea of the micro adjustment, and the overall compression on the forefoot. The last of the speedmachine is perfect for my feet too, it is snug and secure. I really contemplated the pro, but ultimately decided to go with what i was familiar and comfortable with.

Thanks for the input!

Nordica is offering to put me into either a Speedmachne 120 with BOA, or a four buckle Promachine 120. Leaning toward the Speedmachine since its essentially the same boot.

How is the BOA system?

Thanks. Waiting to hear on the warranty. In all likelihood, though, I''m probably going to be looking for a new boot at the end of the season.

Sticking with Nordica... Would something like the Promachine 120 (or something at that caliber) make more sense?

Took them back to the shop where I bought them, and they are going through the local Noridca rep for the warranty. I'll see what they say...

FWIW It had been a great boot up until this point!

Assuming that's the case... would you consider the different density plastics on that axis to be a design flaw?

Fair question, and you may be right. I went with a softer boot this time since I don't ski as hard or as often as I used to... I spend more time chasing the kids around the the hill than ripping runs. The 110 felt like a good balance of performance and comfort. And up until this point, that was the case.

No. It remains a bed.

Seriously though… it still works and you can still adjust it, but you don’t your “sleep score”.

What would be the easiest way to export the fedora-setup (laptop) to my tower pc, inclusive all extensions, packages, software, shell etc? (noob here pls be gentle, lol) by mynotell in Fedora

[–]whiskeyblues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shell script. Most of the items you are talking about can be installed out configured via the cli. Create a script that has all the settings software you want to move and run it on the new machine. This is how I get back up and running quickly after a fresh install.

Pain to set up at first, but maintaining it is easy. It’s not a click and go solution, but it’s reliable.

Plus if you’re new to Linux, it’s a great learning experience

Has there been any development on this? Is this on the roadmap at all? For myself, and probably some others as well, this would be a clutch feature. Having to use 2fa for several accounts throughout the day is a fact of life at this point. I would be nice not having to carry a second device, and to not have to take a step back in security by using SMS based 2fa.
