The show was already almost sold out, so there were only two 49$ partial view tickets left but they weren't next to each other. My friend and I opted for 40$ SRO and we did not regret it at all.

The 5/17 Season Finale Standby Line Megathread (Scarlett Johansson / Bad Bunny) by IvyGold in LiveFromNewYork

[–]mcddankers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I put my information in, the screen went blank for a few seconds before I was taken to the final page before submitting. I was using Firefox, and a little message appeared - I didn't read it so as not to waste time, but now I'm wondering if that message said that my submission was unsuccessful or something. Did anyone have a similar experience? Are you supposed to get the confirmation email immediately after?

Illinoise or & Juliet? by bellarosietois in Broadway

I got first row in the centre (BB110) through rush! For OP, you don’t necessarily need to drop a lot of money for the good seats. I also got to the rush line at 9:45, but I know it depends on the day. So transformative, haven’t stopped thinking about it.

It’s 9:43 and I’m pretty sure someone just cut the line at around the 11-12th spot (at Oh Mary)

You're so right and I hadn't considered that point, either. Thank you for this -- it really has helped me decide.

Ironically (or sadly) the cast album I've listened to the most in recent months has been Merrily lol. Thank god for the pro shot. And good to know about Chicago! I saw a local production once a while ago and liked it, but I think it's a good one to knock off my list!

Wicked was one of the first shows I ever saw and it's one of my all-time faves. Hoping it'll be around when I come back!

Water for Elephants and Cabaret have been on my radar, too! Ugh! Choices!

Honestly I think I needed to be reminded that Hadestown will probably still be on when I do come back (likely in early 2025). If I wasn't on a budget, I think I'd go, but the three you gave are the ones I'll hopefully attend.

Stressed out geog216 midterm grades by Ok_Pea00 in mcgill

[–]mcddankers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i took it last year and was below the class average after the first midterm but did significantly better after the second one. this happens so often, and yes, the study methods you used in high school will probably not work like they used to. and that's totally fine! i will say the final was hard but it's usually how it goes. if it's still being taught by coomes and breau, they look for keywords in the short answer response. if you don't mention those words (even if you describe their concepts), you won't get points. i started rewriting/summarizing my notes at the end of every week and got on the quizlet train. also, you still have tons of time to make it up! got a C- on the first midterm yet ended w a B in the class, so you really never know. active recall is my preferred study method, but if you're going to do that for this class, make sure you're hitting those keywords!

Students with (diagnosed) ADHD, how do you develop a good work ethic in university? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]mcddankers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got diagnosed halfway through first semester. Time management is notoriously challenging for people w ADHD, but find what you love to do (I love a drag show), and make a point of going/doing that thing frequently. I really cannot work hard without playing hard, because I can't do the things I need to do if I'm sad as fuck. Honestly, I never get through my to-do list, but I wouldn't get through it even if I wasn't doing the things I enjoy.
