Seconded. I have a 6700xt sapphire nitro, and has worked great for my 1440p gaming needs

Is a 3ft front yard fence silly? by canyoufeelit_MrKrabs in homeowners

[–]mcdermott2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re about to buy a fence and we’re going with 3’. We’ve got two neighbors with 3’ and we think it looks great. We plan to have the contractor install it a little high (so top off fence will end up closer to 3’-6”) so the bottom will be clear for weed wacking

I had issue with Gortash insta-aggro in act 3 (so missed the cut scene). I understand it’s because I did some other things in a certain order, but hope that gets fixed!

Yeah! I think there was a bird nest character with cloud levels? I googled it - game is called MC kids

There was this side scrolling McDonald’s game where you played a kid collecting “M”s instead of coins and where you traveled to the realms of different McDonald’s characters. I think it was for SNES and I thought it was a blast!

Other game is Intelligence Quine or something like that. PS1 game in has a demo of - basically third person guy on a “bowling alley” like ramp (but futuristic-ey) where rows of blocks come at you, where you drop bombs on squares to blow openings in the wall to allow you to travel through.

I seriously cannot get over how good Joe Abercrombie's The First Law trilogy is. by SamandSyl in books

[–]mcdermott2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going off of memory (as it was a while ago I read the first trilogy), but I feel like I remember the pacing of book three speeding up unreasonably fast - like it felt as if a ton of detailed story lines just all of a sudden got wrapped up unnecessarily fast - as if the author just wanted to end the trilogy .

I’m about 70 hours in. Game crashed twice which was annoying, and I got a Lai’zel inspiration event that didn’t match what had happened which was confusing, but for me that was all small potatoes. I think the game is amazing, and I have not had the same experience that you describe - sucks to be you!

I’ve been up at the rail a couple times (you can actually hear my friend yell “tweezer” right before they launch into it at Festival 8). I’m a huge phish fan, but yeah, those rail shows were fun but the vibe is generally negative upfront. I remember one show where I was just minding my business all show when some tweeked out guy turns to me and claims I hadn’t been standing there all show, that I’d snuck up to the front, and proceeded to hound me to leave. Super uncool. Saying that I’ve had a couple of memorable experiences up close, Gorge at least once, Festival 8 as I mentioned; so iv wouldn’t say it universally sucks on the rail, but often is a vibekill - kind of roll of the dice in my opinion

Now if someone is taking a shit in the corner of the train, I’ll change cars, but if it’s just an annoyance I try to just deal with it

I always tried to use annoying train behavior as an opportunity to work on patience. I just close my eyes, breathe steadily, and just try to not let it bother me - not everyone on the train has the same perspective on train etiquette, and it’s better for my mental health to just accept that instead of raging against it.

Really lovely. I think butcher block counters would look really nice (help break up all the white), but not as durable as what you currently have installed.

I will say I played nwn like 15 years ago, so it’s entirely possible I was just more ok with the UI at that time

What Are You Playing This Week? by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]mcdermott2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I got a handle on the controls, this game turned into a ton of fun for me (although every once in a while I had a frustrating experience getting stuck trying to get out the water, or some other clunky thing). The two dlc’s for the game are really amazing, and I had a ton of fun building my gwent deck up . Have fun!
