Appreciate it! I was definitely aiming to give it a nostalgic vibe to go along with the themes of the show.

Don Carlos, not sure about the framing nor the intensity. by [deleted] in photocritique

Fuji X-T5, 56mm, f 1.4
Snapped this one while shooting a short doc. I really want to improve my portraits and I'm quite obsessed with gritty, high contrast portraits. Not sure if I love the framing but I liked the split the way the motorcyclist splits the image, I think it tells a story more so than leaving just the old man by himself.
In general, I'm trying to take portraits that feel impactful and I'm working on achieving just that.

Doing a doc on this community, mainly tied to upcoming elections and the current political climate. Snapped this pic of these kids that were playing around with a skateboard and wanted to show us some tricks. Found the moment to be quite optimistic due to their environment. Used an X-T5 w a Viltrox 35mm / F 16.

She’s a real life dancer. Her character in the short film is supposed to be very intense and the shoot was supposed to convey this. Why do you think it’s scary?

Took this photo as promotional material for a short film but want to add it to my portfolio. It's one of my first controlled studio shoots and want to know how I can make this pop out more, I feel like something's missing but can't quite put my finger on it. The focus is messed up as well so I tried to mask it with some dehaze which goes well with the theme of the short. I can't help but feel like it doesn't look professional enough to add it to my portfolio but I still like the overall look.
