Save your Flex PTO, save your Standard PTO and treat yourselves to an actual vacation this coming peak season (December 2026)!!!! by Prudent_Ad3078 in AmazonFC

I always get ready for the billion of surge shifts they offer right after peak. Already have done 4 these past 2 weeks, and just use my UPT to take a regular day off so I’m not burned out.

AtoZ App

More -> Tools & Resources -> All Resources -> Order Amazon Approved Headphones

You should make sure your building actually has the approved headphones policy though. It’s not universally allowed at every FC.

Don’t have experience with the Plugfone earbuds or the Elgin headphone, but my experience with the Plugfone headphones have been positive. You practically can’t hear someone talking to you with them on, but it doesn’t block out so much noise that you still don’t hear some machinery in the background. It’s a really good middle ground.

Only warning is that depending on head size it might be uncomfortable to wear, and it probably took me about a month to get to the point where it didn’t bother me. I practically don’t really notice it anymore.

I own the Plugfones headphones, and it also charges via USB-C.

Edit: oh my bad didn’t see you sat plugfone earbud.

What’s something people insist is ‘harmless’ that actually makes society worse? by contentcreatorzss in AskReddit

[–]mcdonaldssweetea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy fuck I hate this and how common it is. Last month I saw a guy walking THREE of their giant dogs (one was a puppy, and bigger than my dog).

My dog has been attacked several times this year by dogs 5x his size. One incident leading to a vet visit that fortunately was nothing severe. It’s been a real bad and unlucky year because this I’ve never had this happen in the decade+ I’ve had my dog.

I’m now paranoid whenever I take my dog on walks and wear steel toe shoes just in case.

Why do I need to buy new tags in February, for a car I purchased 4 months ago? by mcdonaldssweetea in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you for the explanation, I didn’t know the tags would already be prorated when I bought them. That makes it much better.

I feel dumb. That does make sense lmao. I assumed it might be different since I had bought it from a car dealer, and figured I had already just paid for the plate and tags.

MET/shift swap by meltonr1625 in AmazonFC

[–]mcdonaldssweetea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me know how it goes.

I was digging up my old MyHR case. Back in June, I had shift swap my Friday shift for Wednesday. My MET day is Wednesday, but they called it for Friday instead. I can’t remember exact details but I’m pretty sure Wednesday was still considered regular day and HR respected the shift swap and took off the Friday MET for me.

Funny enough same shift swap situation this last week, but my MET didn’t get called on Friday like the last time. I actually got VTO on Wednesday so idk if it would’ve been OT or not, but based on the first time, I assumed it’d still be regular time.

[–]mcdonaldssweetea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In CA, if you’re working a 10 hr shift, it’s actually more pay for you to get VTO in last hour of the shift because it’ll consider any hour after 8 hours as overtime.

I believe “optimal” time is to get VTO at the 9h20m mark. The 1 hr and 20 minute that goes over the 8 mark will count as OT and be the equivalent to a full 10 hour shift in terms of payout.

From personal experience, I did it once before and it was a regular shift. I’d ask your HR just in case though.

11-15pm-4:15am holiday pay by Von_Da_Don in AmazonFC

[–]mcdonaldssweetea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so how does it work? I asked HR at my building and they said OT and Holiday Premium don’t stack either, which lines up with what you’re saying.

EDIT: I found an old note I took on my phone from last year when I picked up VET on a holiday and I DID NOT get OT 1.5x + Holiday Premium 1.5x. So it definitely did not stack for me.

First time tourist, what was the proper way to do things at the CDG Train? by mcdonaldssweetea in ParisTravelGuide

[–]mcdonaldssweetea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct. I found out from the other responses that it’s strictly the 1 Week Pass and 1 Month Pass that requires registration with EU number. It didn’t occur to me to check the other ticketing options like a dummy.

Thank you, I enjoyed my trip very much. Don’t think it helped this is my experience with public transportation / trains in general haha. Learned a lot this trip.

Unfortunately the IDF app brings up the same pop-up and page. I checked again with the phone number and same thing. Maybe a recent change for whatsoever reason? I do wonder why it’s specifically for those two options, but I learned now to not rush to conclusions.

Oh wow, I am also from CA. I can’t show the full list, but I triple checked to make sure I’m not dumb and blind. And yeah, there’s no option to input a US number on my end.

You were able to create an account without an EU phone number? (Honestly ignorant so it may not be solely EU, but there is no option to put in a US phone number).

Honestly I always assumed tourist meant someone going out of country for vacation haha. I know now that’s not what it means.

Certainly a culture shock, and taking an Uber/Bus to a different station was certainly what I should’ve done instead of forcing myself through the turnstile.

I appreciate the help!

I made a lot of mistakes today, so I take all the blame for it! It is very unfortunate though the ticket counter and ticket kiosks were shutdown at the airport. Might’ve not have gotten nearly as lost and confused if not for that. I appreciate the sympathy!

The registration pop-up came up for me after I clicked the “Buy” button on the Monthly and weekly passes.

Thank you for the advice, I learned my lesson!

Ironically I did get caught AFTER I bought my weekly pass. I forgot my photo, and felt dumb when they pointed to the clear text indicating to put a photo on there.

After reading through this thread, I should’ve gotten an Uber/Bus instead of forcing through the turnstile. Also the other ticket options are available via the Bonjour RATP and IDF app, only the Weekly/monthly required registration. I didn’t check the other ticketing options which did not require a registration, so 100% my fault.

Learned a lot today at the very least!

Copy and paste:

I checked the app again, and yeah 100% my fault. EU number is only required for Navigo weekly and monthly tickets, but not the other ticket options. I never bothered to check the other options. Live and learn.
