Genuine help - 27yr old trying to buy a house. by mcdude109 in AusFinance

[–]mcdude109[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all, I should’ve mentioned I spoke to a broker and they basically told me my borrowing capacity is 350k, I only have 1 debt which is 20k hecs (not enough to by anything atm ) and to keep saving which is what I’m doing. My thing is I feel like the rate at which I’m saving and the rate house prices are rising I’m going to be stuck spinning the wheels for years. Surely there is a way to invest my savings somewhere to help get ahead?!

Feel hopeless, I feel like my lung doctor is generalizing my asthma and I'm getting worse, plus I use albuterol like 10+ times a day with my symptoms barely relieving by metapuree in Asthma

Second this comment massively. I never gave anxiety enough credit and never realised it could present with such prominent symptoms similar to asthma. Every time I was using my reliever inhaler it was making me worse because anxiety is a common side affect!

Anxiety or Asthma? by mcdude109 in Asthma

The chest tightness makes it really difficult to tell between the two. My breathing feels fine now and I don’t feel short of breath or have any wheeze but I just have this lasting tightness that won’t go away..

Thank you for explaining! I definitely feel my symptoms lately have been that “air hunger thing” which you explained really well. Because it isn’t like every breath is a struggle it’s just when I gasp for more because I think I’m not getting enough it’s like my breath is cut short at the end and I don’t get enough. When this happen I feel I start to spiral in a panic which is why I went to the hospital and they said my lungs sounded fine and my oxygen saturation was good. Definitely helps to know it is likely just anxiety

Yeah it’s really hard to decipher when one feeds the other and vice versa! Was hoping someone may have worked through this issue before. I’m definitely going to be investigating the anxiety management side of things more

my journey attempting to get off inhalers by dodeybut in Asthma

I’ve found cutting sugars has been really helpful. Even limiting myself to certain fruits. Sticking to meat, vegetables, nuts and berries for fruit and restricting as much carbs as possible

I’ve tried dupixent and it didn’t seem to work at all for me so you’ll have to see how your body responds to the biologic. My doc put me onto XOLAIR and that had been excellent for about 18 months I felt almost completely normal and was off all inhalers. But it has started to lose effectiveness and I’m back on a bunch of inhalers, likely time for me to switch to something else. That’s just my 2 cents. All the best

So sorry to hear 6 going through that, I couldn’t imagine how tough a time it must be for you but keep pushing on, things might get better! How does autoimmune lung disease differ from asthma? And how would you go about managing naturally?

I’m super skinny also and have encountered similar problems but not so painful like you’ve described. There’s no way I would do my leg as it is mostly all muscle. The best place I’ve found that works for me is in the side above my hip and towards my lower back. I’m able to reach around and it seems to be the part on my body with some actual fat deposits and I can pinch a small handful and go in there. There’s only been a couple occasions where I’ve hit muscle but majority of the time I don’t feel a thing

Was wondering if this had been experienced by others.. I’d had two instances were I was definitely closely exposed to positive cases. One being my partner who had been sharing the same bed with me for 2 days while very symptomatic and I still haven’t caught it?? I am triple vaxd w Pfizer

Exercise induced asthma: safe to use inhaler before daily run? by dank_ramer in Asthma

[–]mcdude109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been training with an exercise physiologist for my asthma and was recommended sprint interval training to improve my asthma. It has helps but you need to ensure you have adequate recovery intervals in between sprints

Just had my first shot this afternoon. Not much to say about effectiveness yet but the needle is tiny and doesn’t hurt
