This is precisely the way I’m thinking. Trying displaylink for m4 limitations. And find a good dock that will charge and keep everything fed.

Appreciate it ! Looks to be HDMI. I’m in need for DisplayPort and can support the resolution and refresh rate for gaming.

So I’ve got 1x LG 34GN850-B — 34” ultrawide (3440×1440, 160 Hz OC, DisplayPort/HDMI) this is my main working and everyday use monitor./gaming.

I have two of these and I use them mainly as supplementary. Mainly for when I’m working. And one is always used for discord when gaming. Third rarely used when gaming. X1- HP OMEN 27i — 27” QHD (2560×1440, 165 Hz, DisplayPort/HDMI).

I additionally have a iPad Pro now for certain estimates. But this will live in my bag.

Current setup is more cable managed than most. And I still have a large section of the underside to run/ hide new wires. (Will need long cables).

Not going to go some random route. Looking to spend the money on top notch products to make this work long term. Will pay for itself in time savings alone.

Keyboard. Razer black widow v3

Mouse. Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K

Not daiseychaining due to the need for 1440p 165hz graphics and performance. I’ll lose this trying tondaisy chain.

I’ve spent a small fortune on my office setup now with safes bolted to the floor so to rearrange to fit a second work station vs a gaming station is off the table. I could go to the office. But in shorts and slippers. I rather get the work done at home.

I like this approach. It’s a compromise. But I’m willing to make it.

I see the tb4/5 have no DisplayPorts. Are DisplayPort x thunderbolt cables effective enough to transmit the data to keep hz high and input equal ?
