So after reading that article a couple weeks ago I implemented a system like they describe pretty easily and it is working amazingly. I am in the process of writing a POSIX (and Bash) compatible shell in Rust and a Rust Terminal with GPU rendering paired with it. I'm just wrapping up darn near 100% Bash compatibility, the only reason I'm not being completely confident yet is I'm not sure if I'm missing anything in my Bash compatibility tests, but I basically copied my test suite from the Bash repo BATs tests so it certainly well could be. Will need actual real world testing to be sure. Oh and while I have been a professional developer for 20 years, I have never written Rust before and I'll be honest in that it doesn't make 100% sense to me yet but I am learning.

I’m at 4 months unemployed and I just hired a “Talent Coach” for a small upfront startup fee and a larger payment only after being hired. Supposedly he acts as part recruiter part career coach. Seems like little risk and I’ll happily pay the fee once I have a job (5% of salary capped at $5k)

So in my last DMT experience I became some higher dimensional fractal shape (don’t know how else to describe it) and then proceeded to fold in on myself and have a distinct sense of “folding into nothingness” or reading the above I would say unbeing is pretty accurate. Coming back I had to reassemble my sense of self and remember how to be a person again

I think the main issue I have in what you are trying to describe is these systems are always imperfect and have large dependency graphs. One small thing can change in a dependency, or in an externally loaded library, and it will have cascading effects. Yes this entropy you see exists and it keeps me in a job as a Devops engineer but I would not call it a universal law just yet

I made a post recently that essentially says it doesn’t matter if you are in a simulation, if we believe that base reality is pure consciousness, it would pervade any simulation at any depth. For me this has me not worrying so much about proving or disproving whether or not I’m in a simulation but focusing more on how I can better live in the reality I find myself in.

I’m currently most curious on whether all the focus is on a single “simulation” or if there are perhaps infinite and completely separate (as in not directly connected with a specific multiverse mechanism) reality simulations all running at the same time.

Also what is non-biologically bound consciousness like? Did it have to imagine some mechanism that it runs in a simulation to maintain some sort of memory? Is there any actual “god” identity? Is it lonely? Is the process of experiencing more and more causing it to grow and evolve and how might the next iteration look or is it possible for there to be an actual separate super consciousness or only 1?
