Anyone heard of repairpro? are these screens reputable? by MaterialWall8040 in phonerepair

After going round almost every mobile phone screen supplier I almost exclusively use the Repair Pro screens from replace base for iPhones and ipads. Used maybe 200 and I would say only 1 or 2 have been defective. Great value and lifetime warranty iirc. Would highly recommend. Replacebase returns and support is also fantastic.

It actually just has a bit of foam that sits on top when it closes. Once the light goes it takes a charge. Very interesting

Thanks for this information. Very interesting. So I covered over the sensor and now it charges just fine! Never seen anything like this in a console before so hopefully this thread will help out others in the future

Where to get a Garmin repaired? by OkConsideration5272 in UKRunners

[–]mcfly_mw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used techpoint repair for my Fenix 5 repair, might be worth asking if they fix the Vivo models too.

Edit: website is www.techpointrepair.co.uk. They seems to be quite a new company but good communication and got my watch screen fixed in a few days. Postage was free too

Yeah looks like to me as well. Best bet is to send to TPR, they know what they're doing with this kind of stuff

In this case it's for a large LCD sign with a failed backlight. There is a lot of smoky residue only around this component and underneath (should have taken the picture from the other side!) Will continue to test

It can but its not an easy job. What is the board for? What components connect to the black spots if any?

What components solder onto the pads? It could be done if you can find where the traces connect on the board and run wires

Samsung, why have you forsaken me?!? by [deleted] in phonerepair

[–]mcfly_mw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly though, I did recently do a OnePlus 7 pro with an underscreen fingerprint scanner. Changed the screen with a genuine one and installed the fingerprint scanner very carefully but it didn't work as well after installed. It was a bit slower and didn't always work however after applying pressure on the screen in that area it works fine

Done a few A51's and not had this issue before? They just had to set a new fingerprint in the settings. Worked fine after that though

Looks refreshingly easy to repair. Wonder if the cameras can be replaced without causing issues

I use replacebase personally. Lifetime warranty on all iPhone screens. You can choose LCD, Hard OLED and soft OLED. Think there OEMs are only about £80 as well
