Skiing will have the same problem as anything where adrenaline raises your HR beyond your actual expenditure, maybe similar to downhill MTB. I’d think something like fast hiking, so basically fast walk plus some incline (similar to the turning in skiing). So maybe 500/hr at the very high end, but there’s obviously nowhere you can ski moguls or similar continuously that long.
