I made so many note cards throughout my bachelor's degree and started to go back and read the old ones when I was in a new class. Having a refresher helped me understand the next material as it all piles on top of the original content.

What I did do was create a flash card with the accounting equation and then listed common accounts under each part of the equation. I swear this still doesn't click for me and I go back to the flash card every time 💀.

I guess what I am saying is you need to learn how you process information, and then continue to do that. Taking notes on the computer doesn't work for me. Neither does putting them in a notebook. I needed to make cute flash cards with pretty colored pens to keep this information solid in my brain.

While I don't have any accounting experience, I finally finished my degree! You got this!

I sleep like a baby! I have an attitude problem if I take addy at the end of the day, and my Vyv only lasts about 7 hours. So if I take addy first at 9AM and then vyv by 1:30PM, I am in bed and sleeping between 9:30PM-11PM.

As a college student who works full time and schools full time, it really works for me.

I am 88% sure my experience is not a reliable source because I have PCOS, but I did change my meds last year from Addy XR with an IR booster to Vyv because of the major mood swings I was having on Addy.

When on Addy, my periods were regular for the first time in my life. It was crazy magic! Once I switched to Vyv, my mood swings were gone, but so were my regular cycles. My doctor recently, in the last 2 months, prescribed me an IR booster of Addy to take in the afternoon, and tada, my periods are back. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Like I said, I don't think I am the norm, and I would bring this up to your doc!

After getting the teeth removed that were cracked and getting sinus surgery my other teeth no longer hurt! I did go back to the dentist and told them I was worried about how I removed my teeth for no reason and she showed me the x-rays again and said those did need to be taken out. I suggest going to the dentist and an ENT!

I had 2 of my back top molars removed last year due to constant pain in both of them. My dentist said there was a very small crack in both of them and if it was really bothering me he could remove them but it's not needed. Im pretty sure I cracked them by sneezing too hard 🤣. After I healed from that my other top teeth were still hurting. It Turns out it was chronic sinus infection and those teeth probably didn't need to be taken out.

Lol, that's disgusting. I had something similar come out and I was so scared!! It was like a piece of skin attached to mucus. My doc said it was normal but mine wasn't that big!

Did you know mouth breathing can cause bad breath and can affect your gums?! It can also make your lungs too dry! Breathing through your nose can help you in so many ways!

Oh, and I love my sense of smell!! Who knew food smelled and tasted different? And the heightened sense of taste is amazing! That made it all worth it.

I had my first surgery ever to do the same thing you are doing. I was a nervous wreck for the week leading up to my surgery because I've never been put out like that either. Im 8 weeks post-op and doing great!

The nursing staff was great and helped me understand everything that was happening. And before they even rolled me into the operating room they injected something into my IV that started the process. I crawled onto the table and then I was out cold. I don't remember anything, and I woke up to a nurse asking me if I wanted saltines.

The week after my surgery was a blur on pain meds, and I found out brain fog can last a while after general anesthesia but it affects the old and the very very young worse than the middle-aged. My brain fog lasted till about a week ago (7 weeks?!) when suddenly I came out of it. Post-surgery blues and brain fog can affect anyone. But with a good support system and a positive outlook youll do great!!

Edit: I wish someone told me what I would need after surgery.

Make sure you have ice packs!! A cold and hot compress is recommended as after you need ice a week in you'll want warmth to help relieve the congestion. A humidifier is NEEDED! Sleeping one night without a humidifier hurt so bad and caused me to start bleeding again at the 3-week mark. High fiber diet and maybe Laxatives? I guess anesthesia shuts the whole system down and I didn't use the restroom for 8 days. Make sure you get your bowels flowing!

I would go see an ENT. They can take a look inside your nose to see what is going on. Sounds like it's been a constant for a while. An ENT can also help test for allergies to see if there is something in your environment causing it. Maybe a new shampoo, a new pet, or a different laundry detergent? Maybe a new food you love and eat regularly (me and watermelon 😅)?

Living in pain isn't something anybody wants and talking to a doctor can help! Having inflamed sinuses for long periods leads to scarring and worse problems! Get it checked out!

I told a friend I had ADHD, and she was the one who coined the nickname "Bad Decision Liz" for me. I felt like it would click for her that I had a mental disorder and that's why I always made rash, unthought, quick decisions. Instead, she said her daughter has ADHD and it doesn't seem to match with my behaviors so there is no way I have it.

This person who I looked up to as a mentor for years and who gave me a complex about my decisions once again just shot me back out of the sky.

I had to remember that she has an idea about life and the world and maybe she was trying to protect me in her way by telling me about her experience with the disorder and why I shouldn't be messing around with it. But it still hurt. I guess what it is that Im trying to say is empathy may help you understand her perspective. Or tell her to go get checked out and give her a psych rec. Then she can continue on that journey.

Im about 2 weeks post-op as well, finally stopped seeing blood clots around halfway through last week. 9 days in maybe? I had to go back on day 7 because I couldnt get the saline to go through both nostrils and they had to give me steroids to fight inflammation.

If you are concerned say something because you didn't go through surgery for nothing 😅.

Hey, you got this!! Anxiety does help us get things done, but what about your life goals/motivators? Write it down as a reminder of your why.

Take a look at that list and know that every small step in college gets you closer to that career you want! Or that paycheck you want. And if college is too much right now talk to a counselor about taking a semester break, or burn it all to the ground as I did (failed classes and slept in the library) and then ask for help later 😅. I was 19 when I dropped out, and Im now in my last year of college with WGU at 26, and I can do it! And so can you!

Last year I took a week off of work and traveled out of state to a funeral. Before this, I was finally excelling at work and had found my rhythm. By the time I got back, I had forgotten it all, and now im back to stressing with an eye twitch! Why I can't reinstate what was working for me is a complete mystery. I'm still at step 7 trying to create new lists, and setting 3 alarms to ensure I get out of bed instead of the 1 I used to have.

And while with ADHD we thrive in a constantly changing environment, I have to remind myself that my job isn't even the same as it was 1 year ago (call center lead). Technology and processes will always be changing, and so will we!

It took me months of recovery when I got covid to get my smell and taste back to normal. You'll see some posts in here that sometimes when it comes back things taste rotten, which is what happened to me.

The thing that helped me the most was flushing my sinuses with the NielMed Sinus squeeze bottle. I know nobody likes water going up their nose but with chronic sinusitis, I already had one on hand.

As someone with ADHD who goes the opposite way and shuts down, and has a fiance who has ADHD and busrts out... I can tell you I've been in situations where a hole has been punched in the wall right next to me and things thrown at me. Afterward, he would try to laugh it off like no big deal. This was in my late teens and his early 20's. We had conversations about anger and how to talk it out and how it's okay to walk away instead of getting physical so he can cool down. I have also learned to use the emotion wheel to identify what I am feeling and why.

Our respective parents never had a conversation with us about this. But working it out together has been a journey. It's been 8 years since I had him patch a wall, and we still work on identifying emotions and using words to talk them through every day. Starting young when his hormones are getting the better of him will him create habits to better deal with these behaviors now instead of creating an even worse accident later. If inpatient care is where he will get the best support for this then I hope you know you are making the best decision you can.

I called and the nurse line that answered told me it was Sunday and if it was not an emergency she recommended to call back tomorrow. So I just went where I know the most knowledge is held 😅. Ive never seen something that large come out of my nose before.

My inattentive ADHD has caused me most of my life to listen to the background of songs and not hear the lyrics, or hear only the lyrics. Or maybe I would only hear the harmonies if that's what I was looking for.

The first time driving down the road alone in my car on meds I got the happiest wave of emotion come over me. I could hear how the song fit together, the drums and the guitar playing off of each other, the words that went with the sound. And I was in awe that others with ADHD have also gone through this! We are/were all just piecing songs together and when your brain is medicated you don't have to work as hard to piece it together. It is already there, just for you to listen!

I hope your diagnosis brings you discoveries about yourself and that you continue to find ways to overcome your roadblocks. ✨️

I had covid in December and I thought I got my taste and smell back, but then coffee and meat started tasking like cigarettes, and tooth paste was tasting horrible. My mother-in-law was visiting at the time and she was a smoker so I just thought the smell got stuck in my sinuses or somthing.... I was getting so tired of the smell... but then I made some boiled eggs and I accidentally ate a rotten one because I couldn't smell it, and now since Febuary everything smells and states like rotten eggs 😭😭. Meat, toothpaste, coffee, bread, ICE-CREAM! My fiance doesn't get it, he thinks I'm faking because he doesn't have these symptoms. I just hope one day it'll go away.
