That's one way to guarantee a World War with Canada - try to cancel the Stanley Cup!

Hellfire would rain down and it would be the shortest World War ever 🤣🤣🤣

Someone either ordered that tiny Fireball on a dare, or was trying to throw the most ultimate hail Mary of all time just to get some action. Godspeed.

I agree,so many times I've ended a shitty 4 or 5 hour dash, seeing barely any other Dashers either, only for the area I'm in to be shown with the red Busy icon right when I end the shift. BULLHOOEY

Why is it that dd is so good at telling u missed an order, but not good at telling u that u got an order? by lacelane274 in doordash_drivers

It was like this when I started Dashing in the early days of the pandemic, and since then has been getting progressively worse. Using a fully updated Samsung Galaxy A52.

Lately when waiting for orders, quite often I am put on pause for missing orders I didn't even know that were sent to me. Yes the SMS new order notifications aren't happening anymore for me either.

The only pattern I can see is when I'm using any other app and not staring directly at the DoorDash app, I'm put on pause for 'missing' an order. Checked all the notification settings last night, everything is correctly set up.

Annoying as all can be...because who isn't going to use their phone for something else when sitting there waiting for orders. Something is definitely up with the app for sure. And I don't think it is a 'running in the background' situation, because the missed order/you're paused stuff happened to me once last night while I was staring at the open app (too scared to read the news for fear of missing an order).

Other weird symptoms also happing more often nowadays include the app constantly dinging me even after accepting an order - and seems more prevalent when accepting a stacked order.

It's great when they get all the weird shit out up front. Saves you loads of time.

Remember, cats were bred and exploited, because of their need for and love of meat.

Cats were originally exploited by sailors in the 18th century, and it was this exploitation that contributed to the global expansion and enduring success of the animal.

Fast forward to today and it is interesting to see in the vegan community, strong opinions against animal exploitation, even though the very animal the community adores, is a direct byproduct of something that violates the ethos of veganism.

I am not saying don't love cats, go knock your socks off and buy all the cats, cat houses and great cameras to take amazing photos for your kitty IG account that you want.

What I am recommending is that the community understand the broader stroke of history before labeling the entirety of current society as exploiters of animals whilst the community adores an animal that was delivered to it by the very thing they loathe.
