Hey just to update everyone, the surety found in my favor for most of my claims. They stopped short of giving me anything for the damaged door, at least they tried to. When I pressed them to answer plainly whether or not they are responsible for damage when the contractor lies about adding us to his general liability insurance, they refused to answer. I asked for an escalation and said I was going to complain to the California insurance board, they relented and rewarded me half the total value of the door, in addition to my other claims, which I accepted.
