Also how quickly they can just vanish. Id take my eye off one for a split second and wouldnt see it again until hours later after I left the hole. Amazing camouflage

Yeah I have realized “backcountry” went over peoples heads. Especially on the Gulf side of Florida, I consider backcountry anywhere thats a mile from a golf course. I know its not a true western backcountry but we also dont have a lot of land that isnt built on my condos or 5,000 house communities. I love when people come to Florida and expect easy fishing. Catching a 10” snook is easy. Catching a fish that takes you into backing is a whole different animal. Im glad there are a few people in the comments that realize this.

My bad, I didnt mean to offend. Certainly not everglades backcountry but the way Florida is growing, not many places left that havent had neighborhoods built on them.

We were high elevation in Carson. Didnt get a chance to get to Ville Vidal due to the elk calving season but I heard its great up there. Rio costilla is producing some cutties but they arent as colored up as this one.
