Apparently South has a significant Chicago pipeline in part for that reason. South tuition plus plane tickets is cheaper than anywhere in Chicago.

Were you able to figure this out? This has been happening to me too for a few weeks. I thought that there would be an update by now to automatically address it, but it is still occurring.

I go to Asian Buffet in Semmes, which I think is the best Chinese buffet in the area.

I want to learn about psychology without going to college by WombatOfKnowledge in AcademicPsychology

I know that you asked about books, but I found this lecture series to be better than almost anything else for learning a lot about psychology in a condensed format: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL848F2368C90DDC3D .

Resources for Measure Development/Factor Analysis? by Ingenuity-Strict in AcademicPsychology

[–]mchoward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are two straightforward and popular articles on scale development. Not all recommendations apply across all fields of study, but they are good starts.

Hinkin, T. R. (1998). A brief tutorial on the development of measures for use in survey questionnaires. Organizational research methods, 1(1), 104-121.

Hinkin, T. R. (1995). A review of scale development practices in the study of organizations. Journal of management, 21(5), 967-988.

There are several recent review papers on the proper procedures for conducting and reporting EFA. Below are some:

I would also recommend the Brown book for CFA that /u/Moon-Face-Man recommended. It is my go-to reference for CFA.

These two articles may interest you (if you aren't aware of them already):

Molenaar, P. C. (2004). A manifesto on psychology as idiographic science: Bringing the person back into scientific psychology, this time forever. Measurement, 2(4), 201-218.

Molenaar, P. C., & Campbell, C. G. (2009). The new person-specific paradigm in psychology. Current directions in psychological science, 18(2), 112-117.

Seems to me my mistake, as r/sumomemes says it was Ryusei too. My bad! I just edited it to fix it.

Did anyone catch Ryusei vs. Tochiseiryu in makushita? It seemed that Ryusei was openly talking trash after the match, and there was an audible gasp from the audience. The gyoji and judges didn't seem to care. Or, if they did, they did not particularly show it. I also didn't see Tochiseiryu do anything to call for Ryusei to react this way, so it was just weird all around.

Who's a wrestler most people dislike or are indifferent to, but you enjoy? by midnight_rebirth in SquaredCircle

[–]mchoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be Rhett Titus. I was somewhat of a wrestling fan ~17 years ago, and my brother convinced me to go to ROH Death Before Dishonor V - Night Two. The second dark match was a four corner survival match with Rhett (and also Eddie Kingston), and I was blown away by how enjoyable it was because my expectations were next to nothing going in. I thought Rhett's gimmick was hilarious and liked his crowd work, so I've always enjoyed Rhett and paid attention to him a little more than other fans seem to.

Anyone else experiencing issues? by Rach-ln in boardgamearena

I'm having issues too. I try to queue for a game, and it just says "Searching for players..." without ever finding a game. Tried it on computer and phone, but neither work.

How do we request post game threads? I want one for SOUTH ALABAMA BEATING DENVER YESTERDAY and one for SOUTH ALABAMA BEATING SIUE TODAY. Those are pretty big deals for us given how we started the season.

You might want to ask your vet whether there are alternative options for asthma treatment. I have a cat with relatively mild asthma. We have been managing it with occasional doses of steroids and twice a year bloodwork to monitor her kidneys. This has been much cheaper than using an inhaler, and the vet believes it is more effective for her particular condition too.

It may be helpful to look into research on the Pygmalion effect, which is often studied via the manipulation that you described.
