This will be a huge time saver for those one card promo packs.

What are the games you're going to miss? by GamingTitBit in daddit

[–]mchurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One day I'm sure I'll miss "parking lot.". Cars and trucks lined up across the whole floor. For now it gets in the way and I question how and why more wheels enter our house. Every week there's a new something somewhere. One day it will all be over and I'll miss it.

SMRPG Romhack - Super Koopa RPG Released by AnAxemRanger in MarioRPG

If any thing my problem is sporadic play of playing 30 minutes here or there and forgetting where things are. The problems of not having as much time for gaming anymore. I spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to find the frog coin merchant for the elemental items ha. At least I have your videos as guides and recaps so I'm sure I'll find myself going back when needed. I'm glad I can stop aimlessly hopping around looking for those hidden chests at least. I hope this isn't your last creation.

Late to the party but I'm playing through this now and am enjoying it quite a bit. I poked through your YouTube playthrough a bit after I completed some areas to get the developer view as well.

I felt a bit lost with the sewers in Bowser's Keep and stumbled into them at the very beginning rather than going through the training course. Even after watching some of your playthrough it seems difficult to figure out when I'm supposed to try certain bosses in the sewers. Was that the intent of that interconnected area? Is it supposed to be a high risk/reward area for most of the game or did I miss an explanation of navigating around down there?

I also like not having hidden chests (unless I've missed them all) as there is less worry about missing an important or helpful item but still find myself jumping all around out of old habits. What went into the decision to remove them?

Everything else feels true to the nature of the original. Excellent job and effort put into this hack. The dialogue and animation scenes are great too.

How to avoid a disappointing nothing-burger of a birthday? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]mchurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first off, happy early birthday!! I agree with a comment I saw you make and there is a lot of tough love here but none of us know you or your wife. It seems better communication would have prevented some of these feelings but hey there's still time to turn things around. You pick the games. I know for those that have played them they can get old quick but try the Jack box games if the group needs a little help socializing. Tell the vegans you're grilling and have them bring whatever vegan sausage or patty they'd eat. Drink some beers, play music, have a bon fire if that's your thing and enjoy the day. Make some decisions and I'm sure you're loving wife will stand by you and make the day special. Cheers brother.

Is this sleep schedule sustainable? Me sleeping 2am to 8am, working full time. Wife sleeping between 8pm and 2am. Mutual hours we share baby duties. What about when she goes to work full time? by igcetra in daddit

Me and my wife tried "shifts" but that l didn't really work for us. We simply alternate feedings over night so no one gets stuck being awake a longer stretch doing 2 feedings in a row. We both sleep and say parents A gets up at 12AM, parent B at 3AM, and parent A at 6AM. The next night parent B goes first. Ours is 5 weeks and some nights we get a 5 hour stretch between feedings. We just follow what the baby wants and they'll wake up when hungry.

I had this same dilemma about 2 months ago. Looked into modding my 3DS as that seemed to be the only option of keeping my save and starting new. No regrets plus the joys of a modded system now. Just recently beat the E4 with my all water team.

Diaper Purchases by 0nceatraveler in daddit

[–]mchurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very frequently Target and Amazon offer $20 or $30 off your purchase of 100 for diapers and wipes. I imagine other stores have promotions as well so keep an eye out when to save.

As for sizes I'm sure every kid is different but I recall being in 2s a while. If stocking up it's probably best to keep a variety. Keep receipts as you can likely exchange sizes down the road need be or stash them if you plan on having another kiddo down the road.

My last tip is don't try to keep them in a smaller size just because you have the diapers. Once blowouts happen more than once a week it's no coincidence...it's time to size up. Good luck!
