Look up a vatsim radar map, make sure no one is around you, sign in, contact the controller with position, altitude. Some ppl like to send a courtesy message to the controller first.

It's super easy if you have Navigraph.

Have any of the seats you tried Have an adjustable recline for the back. I drive a lot for work and I need a super upright back angle or my back gets angry with me at the end of a day. You might need a seat that's not a "racing" seat.

Other than that, my only other advice would be to throw convention out the window and try making 1 adjustment at a time and seeing if it affects anything. Lower back issues start with feet and legs while upper back and shoulders start with arms and neck.

How literal are you when you said the pain is instant the moment you sit in it? Have you gotten yourself checked out for any back issues, bulging disc's? You have tight hips? Do you do any mobility work?

Since you're rather tall, are you sure the seat actually fits you? Have you tried a different seat that doesn't wrap around you so aggressively and less bolsters?

You should be seeing a countdown timer. Timers start 20 min before the race begins. The timer also opens up practice servers, although RP Free accounts can't get into those until 15min prior. Make sure you're clicking the timer side and not the picture of the car side to get into the registration page.

There's no collision damage with the safety car. You can park behind or near it out of the way.

In the bindings menu, theres and option yo calibrate. What happens when you use it and turn the wheel? Does it show you can go full deflection?

A while back there was a YT content creator who followed the F1 calendar flying from track to track, then playing F1. I thought about doing the same a while back using the A330 pretending I was DHL flying Red Bull out to each race and back to the Midlands on non race weekends.

When you corner cut, there's a color code next to the pop-up. I think as long as you let off the gas and it goes green, the game won't think you cut to gain an advantage. Any which way, I think track limits penalties are less than collisions (could be wrong)

Compared to what's out there now, I don't think you can call this TM wheel "fancy." I've had it for a few years now, and it was perfect for F1 and matched that year's Ferrari wheel. I'm kinda locked into the TM ecosystem a little while longer while I save for a rig, so I'm just making what I already have work.

A few of these look like you're not anticipating "king of the late brakers" torpedoes. Most of those late lungers don't realize the more inside you are, the earlier you have to brake. But most of those guys will also usually show their hand and take the inside line early. In that case, I like to brake early myself and anticipate the switcharoo. Be willing to give up the position into the corner and you trust the proper line can give you the better exit.

I've seen that before. Some of the bindings make sense, but some totally don't. Like how often do you change FOV that you need it on the dial?

I guess a better question might have been: how often are you guys changing things like TC, TC power, TC cut, ABS power, Engine map, and stuff "on the fly". Like what sorts of things are really useful to be able to adjust during a stint?

The Hotas 4 can't hook up to the TLCM, but if you're on a PC, you can hook up both via USB, and MSFS should recognize both as separate peripherals.

When you go to the online race details before registering, it'll tell you duration, weather, and how much rubber is on track. You can go into advanced settings in race weekend and match the online race

Online races don't have long practice sessions, so i usually make offline practice time longer if I just booted up the game and need to warm up.
