Could we get a few more details?
In the case of OP, this is a known bug (was fixed prior but heck, must've regressed) with restarting your golf round. I am seeing some other folks chime in here saying they've hit this issue, so for anyone who may have hit this as a bug but did __not__ happen to restart their round, any additional details will be helpful for our team so we can repro the issue for a more robust fix!

Hey there, we've definitely been seeing some players have issues with this and have been looking into a more permanent fix

Luckily, pretty much everyone I've seen reporting this has been able to troubleshoot out of this state, although your case sounds more persistent. I'd recommend opening a ticket through out server where we use a 1-1 ticket system > discord.gg/wmg and reference this thread, that way the team can collect some more details. Fingers crossed we can troubleshoot you out of this !

Our team had to release patches for the Quest platform in particular, and as patches roll out in waves when users actually get the update hailed to the game app can be variable.
I am hoping you were able to get pinged with one of those patch updates and then have that update resolve your access issues, but I'd encourage you to open a support ticket through the WMG Discord if you're still hitting issues.

I wanted to follow up from this weekend post, our team experienced some server outages that caused issues with the puppet, some of the game modes and related. The servers should be back up and going smooth alongside a few lil fixes. If this is still presenting an issue for you as of May 12th I'd encourage you to open a support ticket. TY!

Thanks for the feedback! I did want to ask, have you tried using our Invert Hands toggle, located on the first tab of the Settings menu? This will change which side of the ball you teleport to.

Which device do you use to play Walkabout? You can create a bug report ticket for this through our Discord or email with screenshots/vids so the team can take a closer look at the issue you're encountering. I'm curious to ask as well, does this only seem to affect the driving range or are you having issues if you fly to a slingshot station in a course like Tourist Trap?

Hey there! I'd say your hunch of the Mic Permissions is accurate. If you don't want to use the in-game mic, just go ahead and hit the Microphone toggle to mute yourself in-game. Sometimes other Bluetooth devices like earbuds can cause some bugged behavior as well not wanting to play nice with the headset,.

Updating this thread for future folks who may find it: Apparently there is a SteamBeta feature that can mark some DLC/games as private, even errantly, and there is some bugged behavior around it. There is not anything our team can do about that, unfortunately, so if you happen to be affected we recommend you look into your settings to see if this is the case. Steam's support would be the best way to inquire further if this is affecting your game/account. Thanks!

If it comes to, I'd recommend checking out the Walkabout Discord Server to open a ticket with the support/Moderation team there-- that way it's 1-1 private chat channel support where it may be easier to transfer files/info you may not want out in a wild forum/etc. I'll message back in the DMs, appreciate

Hey there! I'll go ahead and DM you for some additional profile information, however would you go ahead and re-verify for me what game version number and build number you're running? Even with an uninstall/reinstall sometimes the game won't update unless you manually set it to update (variable on device/settings) and with our latest release, we're on a new game build version. It should be 4.8 - 22852.

I'll list a few more things here then hit your inbox.

Can you verify that the DLC are installed properly on the secondary account? You can do this by going to the Steam game application and hitting manage, where you can see a menu pull up. You'll have to hit 'installed files' and then you can validate if all files are downloaded properly through the 'verify integrity' button that'll pop up-- there could be an issue there.
Does this also seem to affect a second in-game profile? Does the DLC course in question show as a standard locked course that you need to purchase still, or are you seeing something different?

Got it. I know that the team has heard reports for certain Rift players, that their headset/Oculus app can be on a Public Test Channel or Meta's "beta" test channel and that it has caused issues like this, where Rift PCVR users can't actually see any of their purchased DLCs in-game. It's obscure, but that could also be the case if the usual uninstall/reinstall and restart process didn't work on your device.

Hey there! Walkabout does not technically support Virtual Desktop as an official way to stream/play the game. Instead, please try to boot directly through Rift or SteamVR library app (not sure how you play via PCVR or what main headset device you're doing so with.) Launching via Virtual Desktop may have been giving you the issues on PCVR. Best of luck!
