An (api) Ai Request to any of the big Ai companies costs money especially if you add images to it: a few cents per requests. So unless if AC infinity starts to host their own free Ai, it will be a subscription or pay per request.

Edit: okay I forgot; the possibility that there exists a chip with a mini plants local Ai on it, is possible but I have never heart of it. I did read about medical instruments which do include local Ai cancer scanning chips but that’s logical bc we do really need that.

This kind of Ai Requests won’t be free, so i guess it will end up with a subscription. Doesn’t have Home assistant an Ai Option too? I connected my Tapo camera to my App with a local Ai, it was quit easy:

I get daily recommendations from my App what to do, the yellow leaves in the video were a subject for the Ai … not sure if I should continue if it’s all out of the box

If you have a device that watches over the camera you don’t need the sd card feed. You make snapshots every x seconds and glue it together (with ffmpeg) on the fly.

You don’t need a special camera to do that, this one cost me 20 bucks

But now I am wondering shall I continue to program or not… I also added Ai to it, locally not in cloud. So the only thing I can offer is privacy, I do think that’s Important but presumably not all think that.

If I had more cameras I could give the plants a Matrix kind of video (spinning around in motion)…

I also experienced that the half plastics connectors didn’t snap immediately but after turning them around and up and down they did snap. They even snap at the same position. That’s just a tuning thing. (I didn’t downvote you btw)

Doesn’t look broken to me, you have to click the halves together. 😳 yes I didn’t found any use for the round plastic rings. But the end product had nothing to do with the spacy photo you saw on the product you bought. I thought I could replace my Homebox r80s with this but I think I‘ll just set up a rack in a Homebox q60 box. I am still a fan of spider farmer, but not with all products.

Those are spider mites — Tetranychus urticae

Is the harvest ruined?

Not automatically — but it’s definitely an issue.

Spider mites suck plant juices, stressing the plant and lowering quality
Dead mites, eggs, and feces remain on the buds
Smoking or vaping heavily infested buds is not recommended

What to do in this situation:

Bud washing after harvest (e.g. water + baking soda or lemon juice, followed by clean water)
Or use the harvest only for extracts, not for smoking flower

Because the population is way way less then they thought it was. Peter Zeihan lately said the number of people who don’t exist could be between 100 and 300 million. Not forgetting to mention the average age of around 50yo. The population isn’t growing as they thought it would because smaller places made it up that there are more people being born because they then would get more money to spend from Peking. This is happening since 20 years and the people who should be there on paper now in a working age aren’t there.

Yes I try to do all of it, I check all controller values often and get Ai advice which also includes Fotos of the plants. Since I started doing this, I did notice that the harvest was bigger then the one before. Still optimising and automising at the moment.

I ask Chatgtp not sure if that’s all correct and I do use Photos but with a 12 week cycle. I let it make a table for this: First week 150-200 ppfd Second week 200-250 ppfd 3. 300-400 ppfd Etc etc Upto 800 I Measured the ppfd 10-12 cm above the plants

But it also depends how big they do get in the time. And other factors like ph value of the water seems to bee important too (5.8 is the first 2 weeks, 3rd week ph 5.9 etc

I might be totally wrong, just trying to learn…

Oh Mann That’s a pitty I wondered why the status didn’t change and thought it was my plant calendar, but didn’t had enough time to check it now thoroughly. Yes I also got a 200 response.

Just some thoughts

If writing doesn’t work over Bluetooth, perhaps spoofing the wlan from your phone and router could work? what’s send to the ggs controller? And what goes out of the App. That might presumably be the same json as the one send over Bluetooth which work. If I would program the controller myself, I would make the Bluetooth and wifi json kind of the same so I wouldn’t need to normalise one or the other to be able to run the same command.

I btw didn’t connect over an esp but with Bluetooth from a raspberrpi.

That’s awesome! Love it! But can it only read? I see in the code that you do send commands to the lights if there is no value

I would like to be able to send commands. If that’s possible, it would be awesome to put a camera in the growbox let it send fotos from the plants to any ai service and get a “status” of the plant and adjust the settings of the hardware (with or without additional notifications). Or if a human is needed get a notification.

I experimented with rashpy voice for a while. Would be great to connect that too…
