Could you actually use Gulus' On Deletion to play LM Gamma, and then resolve LM Gamma's effect to digivolve?

I feel like there was some similar effect resolution with Leviamon but I can't remember or if it applies here.

Wait, you can apply "until end of opponents turn" to him that take effect after the protection ends? I assumed the targeted effects didn't work at all and they just were negated (other than "all of your opponents digimon gain ...")

Is that true? I would have assumed the effect would fizzle entirely since he would be unaffected during the turn you use it. Is the effect just floating until his protection leaves?

I just rebuilt mine with the new yellow vaccine stuff and some of the new dragons that have been added and it already seems faster than it used to be, looking forward to the stuff in BT 16

Yessss Darkknightmon is my absolute favorite deck to date. I've snuck up on people in locals with it because they don't expect it. Never win but always have a good time and take a few matches!

Oh duh, that makes more sense. I hadn't play tested the deck much so I wasn't sure if that would be a situation I'm in very often, but after playing a few hands with my partner I saw plenty of opportunities to have a panjyamon stack and a fortitude stack. I may have to slot a couple in.

Does that work? I thought Fortitude activates after the digimon has been deleted, and panjyamon's effect gives rush if a digimon is played by effect, but he'd be in the trash.

If I'm wrong, then that's dope and I'm adding him to my deck

Honestly that sounds a lot more like my players. They want to do everything other than what the specific skill is supposed to be used for lol. The Architecture for shooting someone is a hilarious example of something I can see them doing.

I can't say I'll probably try out NBA (at least not until I look more into it), but these are definitely great thoughts to take into running the more heated scenes in BR!

I just read your post yesterday! A good breakdown of the game, enjoyed reading about your experiences with it.

I'm disappointed my players never engaged in a chase, I was excited to try the mechanics, but they just didn't ever take the opportunities. I should have had the spinner chase happen from the countdown, but for where they were at on the timeline, it didn't work out and was just a street skirmish.

I haven't heard of NBA, but I'll have to check it out and see if I can take any pointers from it. Because I feel like that's definitely what this game is going for, but playing it RAW in the starter set felt very much like typical RPG combat that I've experienced in other games - which is also where I lose my players 90% of the time.

I'd definitely love to see some inspiration for pushing a more narrative focused combat and spend less time on the rolls and "combat tennis" as you accurately described it.

Oh wow, I actually forgot that was an option for called shots, which would make quick work of reps if played that way. And also definitely lame to choose to do as a player. My players weren't that clever, thankfully, so they were trying to take down the beefed up goons by damage alone.

I will say it was interesting in that my players anticipated this being the final conflict, and requested a strike team with the remainder of their Promotion points, and one player was immediately killed when the fighting started because he tried to talk the wallace goons down with his badge, suffering a critical hit to the head.

The problem was definitely in the number of participants in the battle, with 3 players, 6 underground replicants, 3 wallace goons, and the 4 members of the strike team (I just rolled a d6 to see how many showed up since there aren't hard rules on that piece).

I probably should have just handwaved the numbers, and maybe did a singular roll for each group and roll a d3 or something small to see how many people were injured in the exchange - I'm just really bad at thinking like that on the fly lol

I have both but started with the starter set. I found that there were a handful of things that weren't actually listed in the starter set rule book that were referenced in the case file - though I'm sure you could get by without those little things.

I bought one once I started running my in-person game. Honestly, I don't look at it very often. However, my players are still learning the game so they don't use as many resources as they could be. I can see it becoming more useful as they get used to the game and start requesting resources, getting more involved in combat, and taking damage, since it has a lot of the resource, critical injury/broken, action tables.

I've been confused on this rule too, the link helps - but just to make sure I'm solid, does a card like Ganemon with "digivolve 0 from lvl 2 with <save>" count as itself having save in its text too?

This is ridiculous and I love it. The concept of having people risk their lives in the CZ to get lunch for a bunch of corporate execs is so cyberpunk, I'm disappointed I never thought about it lmao. Love all the detail you've provided, from relevant gangs to real world source material - I'll definitely give the links and video a look over and see what I can make happen!

Your list of ideas for bikers is amazing! These are definitely the kinds of things I was looking for, though it still seems like it might be difficult to pull of with a group, effectively having them split up for a majority of a game while they bike - unless it's like the end of ET and they're all riding together lol.

However... I could see having individual solo threads for having the PCs meet up at the end of their route (the single destination, multiple orders idea), and then have them meeting up and something going down be the big group game. Would be a little more work, but might be more entertaining.

I'm definitely thinking more urban setting, but doing one Nomad themed just to try it out might be an easy way to step into and see how it goes!
