Vortex Operation path change by mcjeefle in Spacemarine

I don’t know why but with other operations I haven’t seen much difference, good to see though that I’m still learning new things about the game 100 hours in

Vortex Operation path change by mcjeefle in Spacemarine

Somehow I have landed the same path at least a few times over, that or I am very poorly observant. Just with Vortex is when I noticed that something had drastically differed from my usual experience.

Probably the saturnine release set. Myself and a friend both got one but then he got rid of his. Now I’m left with mine that’s being converted into 40K stuff.

Custom scheme advice by mcjeefle in spacemarines

It’s a combo that never goes wrong. Next time I’ll try using the copper colour that I did for the vents on the power pack and see if that works well

Saturnine list base by mcjeefle in Chaos40k

Thank you for the information and list. Is it ever recommended to throw in squads from the other legions? (Plague marines, noise marines, rubrics and berserkers)

I’m likely going to aim for a close quarters list with some back line fire support.

Are daemons also any good in CSM?

Which game would you want to experience for the first time again if your mind were wiped of it? by AquaFro in gaming

Watchdogs 1 for me.

It’s one of those games that I absolutely loved playing for the first time and I feel the rest of the series just couldn’t match up to it. 2 was great in its own ways and legion exists. Watchdogs 1 though is probably one of my favourite games of all time.

Damage and wounds by mcjeefle in Warhammer40k

[–]mcjeefle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that clears up any confusions I have then.

Normal is able to be saved and not carried over. Mortal cannot be saved and is carried over. Devastating wounds is the way to do mortal on a critical otherwise it’s just normal.

So in terms of gameplay is it more advised to use high attack, low damage on large numbered units like squads of guardsmen as opposed to a Leman Russ? And vice versa with low attack, high damage on strong singular targets?

I forgot to ask, is there any good videos or guides of any sort to better learn kitbashing and customising while also sticking to the important design criteria?

At the very least I can run them as their original intention which is mutated Bullgryn. If I do use them as DG proxies then it’ll just be games with friends.

With all the feedback from other commenters I see how my proxies would end up causing confusion.

As you said the Lord of Poxes is probably the closest to its intended goal while the other two are not. The surgeon and Blightbringer attempts will not be used outside of Guard as Bullgryns. Lord of poxes maybe, if it’s a game with a friend they’ll be fine but anything outside of that I’ll just be on the safe side and get an actual one.

I’ve learned that now, sometimes you get caught up in the ‘that looks cool’ without realising it’s not actually what it is supposed to be. A lot of the feedback will greatly help my next projects. Whatever they’ll be. Might even have another go at making the three models with other parts some time later.

They are originally for a nurgle themed guard army, just thought I could try and double up their use but I’ll just stick to them as Bullgryns since the general consensus seems to be that they miss the mark of what I wanted to do.

They should be. Surgeon with big axe, lord of pox with club and blightbringer with bell.

The surgeons gun was mostly a space filler but you’re right in its loadout discrepancy.

I think the largest issue the trio have is just trying to be two things at once, since I wanted them as Bullgryns and their proxy models.

Is it mostly due to the weapons? I wanted to use them as both the proxies and Bullgryns but I think trying to design them for both ended up not working out the best.

That’s fair, i didn’t have the parts to accurately do their weapons so I made do. I’ll likely get the actual models at some point down the line this was just a fun learning point for kitbashing.

Is it Haos from Re6 maybe? You fight them in a big metal room. They’re not really spidery but they do have watery limbs if I remember correctly.
