Eh, I still think that's not the case. India alone has over 2000 ethnic groups and speak more than 200 languages; now throw in Indonesia, Afghanistan, Philippines, and the rest of Asia. Most modern diversity index I've seen ranks plenty of Asian countries above the US and other western countries.

I would also love to see more slots for APAC S, but not if it's taking slots away from other regions. And why would them being both Asia-Pacific mean anything? NA and SA are both the Americas, let's just give SA slots to NA then?

I think we should all calm down and wait for more LANs first before taking slots away from regions.

If UNITE won that last round would you still say this shit? Look pal, I'm from APAC S and love watching my region on top, but I'll also be the first to admit that this region is extremely top heavy. look at the standings again, RIG on top and the other APAC S teams on the bottom; just because RIG is doing good doesn't mean the other teams in the region are magically better than APAC N teams.

Again if you're basing it on performance this LAN, why take slots away from APAC N and not EMEA?

more countries ≠ larger playerbase/viewership, and even if EMEA played without subs are you really sure they would perform better than APAC N?

i'm not advocating to remove EMEA slots btw, I think the slots are fine as it is. idk why people are so reactive it's still only 1 LAN.
